you have to love movie that plays the song "Two Months Off" by Underworld, as the guy is trying to kick a heroin addiction. Haven't seen this one for days, but got it as a xmas present, the sound track is classic, alot of old tracks Diggerz & Sasha used to play are included on the flick. Awesome, flick. I definanlty think that movie will stand the test of times, and captures the aura of what life was at that point of time in the early ninties.

also what i like about it, is it shows the progression of drug use, from the simple drugs to the new designer drugs, and showed how the music intertwined with the drug scenes.

Trainspotting came out in 1996.

"Two Months Off" wasn't written or released until 2002.

however, there are a few Underworld tunes in Trainspotting.

you are probably thinking of Born Slippy of Dark & Long.

Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life.

For What You Dream Of - Bedrock Featuring KYO (Full On Renaissance Mix) 2:1 - Elastica

Brilliant film.

Her boobs looked nice in that movie. My favorite Kelly Macdonald part: Ewan McG says "You're too young." And then KM says "Too young for wot?" I like how she says "wot". :D

Sounds like someone took a little more away from that movie than I did..or maybe I was just a little immature when I watched it, great film overall.

I first saw the movie long before I ever tried anything... The scene where he sunk into the carpet stuck with me... Years later Iunderstood what that felt like.

no tom, it was Dark Train. however, Born Slippy was in a movie called The Saint, with val kilmer.

#328768Post 14 of 35

Really? Besides that the track titile is listed as "Born Slippery" on Amazon I am pretty sure it was Born Slippy because I love Underworld since a long time when nobody of my mates listened to them and suddenly the movie came up and everybody had the Born Slippy single. I never liked that track but had to listen to it when I visited my friends.

they are both in the movie.. dark train, and born slippy.

#328828Post 19 of 35

Re: Trainspotting

if you like trainspotting you should try and get the follow up book called 'Porno' by Irvine Welsh, its f**king quality

#328830Post 20 of 35

^^^ reading it now.. brilliant book

#328832Post 21 of 35

I'm pretty sure Born Slippy is also in the movie too. They play it right after Renton steals the bag of money from Begbie and walks out on the rest of the group. And they do the "Choose life, etc, etc." speech again. Anyway, I have the DVD so I can check later.

I wonder if there are any plans on making the book "Porno" into a movie.

#328963Post 27 of 35
however, Born Slippy was in a movie called The Saint, with val kilmer.
Re: Trainspotting

Just to end all this bickering, there are two volumes of the soundtrack out there. Vol 1 is Orange and Silver, Vol 2 is Green and Silver. Dark and Long is on Vol 2 Born Slippy is on Vol 1.
