any true artist, musician, or music lover shouldnt have such a narrow minded outlook as to only like EDM. if it wasnt for these "other" genres, there would be no edm in my opinion. Like one of my colleagues said earlier, electronic music is somewhat the new classical, in the way that it is very intricately put together, and mis understood by the masses (thank god), and way ahead of its time.

I'd have to say country, with rap/hip hop close behind....IMO, country lacks excitement and rap/hip hop is the shallowest form of music, along with pop...but different strokes for different folks I guess...
