Hey guys, so I'm making a trip to LA to see Digweed at The Avalon... I would love to meet some of you people on here, as I am stuck in midwest-ville were good beats are scarce.

Nope... I've been there 3 other times to visit my friend Levek... Her and I went to college together in Missouri, and then shoe moved out there.... The last 3 times I was there I saw Sasha, Carl Cox, Jesse Rose, and Tiefschwarz. Wish I could have made it to the Monday night social with Hernan Cattaneo... He is my favorite DJ.

The last time digweed played in St. Louis he drop some crazy ass tracks the last hour of his set... I love the DJs that build there sets up through intensity and not necessarily by speed alone..
The main promoter club show in St. Louis loves trance so they spend all there money on Tiesto, PVD, Ferry, etc... Then they bring cheap-ass house DJs in the mean time.

If all the stars line up just right, Diggers will go on around midnight and open the VORTEX up around 4am and play till 7am. :shock:

Avalon is open till 7AM... only place in LA where John has played that is open that late, otherwise it's over at 4AM, as sad as that sounds...

I love that about the Avalon... It's so funny to see a club with a line around the corner at 4:00 AM. No club in St. Louis stays open past 3:00. So when we do get a good headliner they go on at like 12:30 and they only get to play for like 2 hours.

Im getting excited about this event! We're planning on geting there around midnight or 1am. Got a 9am appointment Sat morning (taxes), then sleeping alllllll fucking day! till 11pm, fill up with rockstar/redbull/whisky and stinky pinky kush!!

Theres a place off of sunset (forget the crossstreet) called the crack house. you can just walk right in and take a nap or sober up on a couch. theres always a party going on in there.
its a big white colonial looking house, or just sleep on the street, plenty of those in hollywood! lol

holy shit! Am I glad I went!!. Digweed has some fucking killer tunes. At one point where I just couldnt take it no more, where my knees felt as they were gonna fall off, where I was just about to colapse to the floor, these wicked ass demonic pounding sounds would just take over and fill me up with energy to just keep going and going and going. the trembling bass, those loud claps :shock: fuuuuuuuuuuck!
We took off just before 6am. At 34, I might just have to start sitting down and listening instead of being up front in the mayhem!

I had to sit down a few times myself, I'm 41. My wife was surprised when she said everyone was leaving, this was at 7, (we rolled 6 deep) and I said I was staying. :shock:

LOL I know.. my wife was on the couches in the front to the right of Diggers, she commented on that too. I was all over the place. I saw some manwomen poaching unsuspecting uber drunk dudes that didn't have buddies to warn them of their grave miscalculation around 7AM. Top night indeed! :D

LOL! yeah saw that happening too. I too felt some poaching from behind from "regular" looking dudes..gosh, now I know what women go through, had to move around some haha fucking faggots...not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

Dj's like Digweed that spin new music usually would rather their livesets aren't recorded most of the time out of respect to the artist that produced the track.
maybe because they are performing in Hollywood, and people respect their request of not having their set recorded.

He did broadcast one from Vanguard, where Cloe opened up for him. Beleive it was the earlier part, maybe even the first hour.
How I wish he broadcast's thisone.. especially between 4:00 - 6!! :shock:
