really? how does that convert to your currency?

that's almost $60,000.00 USD, plus I'm sure they reimburse for travel costs

Haha.. don't get me wrong, that's a great salary ... approx $48,000 KYD. However I just wanna own something someday, rather than work for someone else, make maybe over $100K and retire early :p

when did you last check the exchange rate!!!! its about 46 000 US dollars at the moment! :) it aint what it used to be.

plus its a 30 week job so its only 30/52 of that figure.

still 30 events in 30 weeks and writing about them is perfectly do-able! would have loved to have done this a few years back.

I haven't, that was off the top of my head, just making a point that it's still a decent wage to travel around and attend some probably amazing events.. I'd sure as hell do it for $46,000.00

Re: Raving for a living

keep in mind 46k is for only 30 weeks so if it were a yearly salary it would be ~72k based on the formula below

(52/30)+1 = 1.5769230769230769230769230769231

1.5769230769230769230769230769231*46000 = 72538.461538461538461538461538462

which aint bad considering your responsibilities include:

Flying around the world attending 30 amazing events Being a guide and chaperone to weekly competition winners Reporting your trip to festival fans across the world via blog, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook

Jesus don't we PAY to do this?

Re: Raving for a living

my reading was that it was to be prorated - hence that is the full year salary of which you only get 30/53 of it.

thats a question for the interview!

from what i can read you get ~$46k or so for 30 weeks of "work". i was just stating how that number isnt bad considering it is only 30 weeks.

Re: Raving for a living

so you work for 30 weeks and get the £30000 and when this finish you can work for the rest 22 weeks of the year and earn more money to go towards the year salary! altho after all these events you'll probably need a good holiday lying on the beach all day for the rest 22 weeks of the year lol
