So for those of you that may not have heard, we here in Ontario have been dealing with another psycho is our midst. Col. Russell Williams was arrested and is being charges with 2 counts of murder (27 yr old Jessica Lloyd from Belleville & 37 yr old Marie Comeau from CFB Trenton, 2 counts of break and enter and sexual assult on 2 other women in the Tweed area.

Col. Russell Williams is 46, and one of our highest ranking officers in Ontario. He was in charge @ CFB Trenton, and prior to this he was at various other bases throughout Ontario (including here in Kingston in 2001), and even flew the plane of the Prime Minister of Canada.
The newest twist in this story is this sick, twisted SOB was at one time, friends with serial killer/Scarborough Rapist Paul Bernardo (murderer of Kristen French, Lesley Mahaffy, and Tammy Holmoka), in the early 1990's. They apparently took a course together or something like that.
They are now looking into other cold cases in the areas he was stationed throughout his career to see if there are other murders he is responsible. You don't wake up one day at 46 and begin to murder. The 2 ladies he is being charged with murder all happened after July 2009, when he moved to the Trenton area (Marie Comeau was murdered in Nov 09 and Jessica in Jan 10).
There was a massive wide search here in Ontario for Jessica Lloyd. She was apparently abducted right from her driveway (purse and phone found in her car parked in her driveway). The search unfortunately ended with the worst fate. Jessica was friends with a co-worker of mine, so this has hit a little too close to home for those of us in Kingston.
The speculation is that he followed Jessica a few times and approached her outside of her home asking for some sort of assistance. Seeing that he was a decorated officer, her guard was down and that was when he made his move.
This makes people very leary of trusting anyone, even someone in uniform. The last thing you would ever expect, would to be abducted by such a decorated and respected member of the Canadian Military. That is probably how he got away with what he did.
I hope the judicial system works and this SOB gets everything he deserves and more!! :evil: :evil:
