Reminds me of some Tangerine Dream, but more composed and rhythmic. Very cool track. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Listening to the sampler of cd 1 and definitely think I'm going to be buying this baby. If only for the first cd.

I got to give this a full proper listen today. I loved every minute of it, though I was forced to listen to it while my 3 year old son forced me to play his toy Guitar while he pretended a spirit level he found in the cupboard was a Tuba, that he blew into for the duration of disc 1. The only problem was when I changed to disc 2 I was forced to play the tuba instead of him for the duration of disc 2. Great Mix though, even with the odd Tuba (spirit level) solo.

My first Zabiela CD and I am glad I bought it. Some very good music on both discs. Prob prefer the first hour of his recent EM though, but it's all good!

at around 1.59 of this video (terrible camera work!) JZ states that they gave away 55,000 DVD's on recent gigs - anyone have one? or know what was on it?

It was his masters CD with a DVD. Everyone who went to his gigs on the tour was given a free copy. I'm surprised I haven't seen any copys on ebay

It´s because what we were actually given was an MP3 disk and I don´t remember any video on it although I may be wrong. Will check when I am back in Australia.

the video i got is 10 mins, a little tour in JZ's studio and then the camera follows him to a gig @ warehouse project, and lots of JZ goofing around

i dont mind posting it, but isnt it commercial?

Funny enough I thought mine didn't have the video on it as I could only see the wall paper, the screen saver and the 2 mp3 files when I loaded the disc in my PC. It was only when I opened my DVD ripper the 2 files where visible. They also work if you load it into a standard DVD player.

That vid's from the set he did at WHP before [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=5"]Sasha[/url] & Diggers ... he brought things down for the last 20 mins and ended with Siopsis - Really Love Ya, which I'd heard on [url="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=117"]Ben Watt[/url]'s show a couple of weeks before. An absolutely perfect moment ... coupled with JZ typing 'Diggers' on his screen for the crowd - set things up nicely.

I think Zabs is even better when he plays at a lower tempo.

What can you say about JZ but good things!

Burnt Bridges is a masterpiece. His Four series is brilliant. The guy is nothing but class through and through.

The US should take his Burnt Bridges track and make it their National Anthem. The thing about Burnt Brisges is that they can be re built.

This is true. However, I really wish he wasn't tied down to Renaissance so much (which I guess isn't the case now :D). Most of his mix albums started to feel the same to me. Minus a couple of his recent down tempo releases which I really enjoyed.

He's got so much talent I almost feel like Renaissance pigeon holed him a bit. I guess this is why I enjoy his Four series so much as he's more free to do what he wants - of course I don't know for sure and this may not be the cause at all! But it appears that way.
