Expect a wild hair style and him jumping around like a leprechaun behind the keyboards...

bt cannot dj. he sucky sucky. saw him once and never again. he trainwrecked at least three times.

have fun!

#322908Post 7 of 31

a hundred smackers to see a drunk hair dj wreck? lmao

if he does a live PA, you'll probably enjoy it a lot. i've seen him perform a few times. (Usuaya 1997, Zen 1998) he brings a lot of energy to his performance.

bt on the wheels of steel??? dont waste your time.

Love BTs studio albums, not sure about his live sets..

Re: BT?

I liked his stuff back in the Perfecto days... but now :NotMe: seems like it's all shitte...

#322917Post 10 of 31

His albums are almost all amazing. His Renaissance album, what was it Singapore, was pretty good also. Live, i heard a few sets of his and they werent that bad. They arent close to amazing also. Just dont listen too much to the mixing.

Dont forget to offer him champagne, i hear he only drinks the good stuff

I was a big BT fan. ESCM is one of my all time favorite albums, but sadly i think his gone a bit Pete Tong now, shame.

But go check him out anyway, sure it will be fun.

#322923Post 12 of 31

I can't believe that many people would wanna see him for $100. Please tell me there are a lot of other great dj's on the bill too.

#322932Post 13 of 31

I saw him several times performing live (not spinning) and it was amazing, although it was back in the ESCM/MISL era....

Re: BT?

although a lot of people have given bt crap for quote unquote selling out, I think he has done a lot for electronic music and im sure he will put on a good set on nye.

#323040Post 19 of 31

I like the track he did with the 'N Sync dude

#323089Post 20 of 31

dj-ing to bt is showing up with the latest portable gear(dont expect records)expect a technology driven set.....he has always impressed me with the new gear....although the songs may sound just like the originals(i always like to hear different mixes than heard before)

#323110Post 21 of 31

I saw him do his ableton thing in orlando. it was okay. too much of a greatest hits show. the technogoly was impressive, but the music, until the last 3 songs, wasnt that impressive.

alot of people tend to think sasha pioneered these "no vinyl or cd's" shows.. uh uh

I have always loved BT, and Movements in Still life is my favorite album by far, but I have never seen him live, I would love to though however, not sure I would pony up $100 for it though.

#344791Post 23 of 31

he is hit or miss. some stuff is great some is garbage (fibonacci sequnce :D vs the song he sang on  )

#344798Post 24 of 31

there are one too many BT threads roaming around here at the moment...

#344801Post 25 of 31

his recent Doors remix was superb!

So if you make it as a big time dj/producer and one of the world's best selling pop acts asks you for a remix, I expect you're answer will be "no." I guess that's keeping it real... real broke and real obscure.

If it was me, I'd make the best damn track it could with what they give me, the big fat check, and the huge publicity.

#344847Post 27 of 31

well it was a good night in the end except bt was terrible

kai tracid was stellar, but i wish this was in my home town because i flew to vancouver for the weekend to see something that would have been better here in calgary. oh well, it was different

True, since I can never see myself using my music to make a living I tend to be a bit of a purist. And in all fairness I believe BT enjoys his music I guess it was just a coincidence that one of the tracks i didn't think was so great happened to have the bloke from n-sync singing on it. I though Pop was pretty reasonable actually.

Nothing wrong with getting paid off what you love doing, except that it's hard as fuck to figure out how. So far nobody seems willing to give me a paycheck for puffing trees and watching Tivo. You believe that shit?
