if you could go anywhere, where would you go

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Another galaxy would be nice, but right now in my life if I could go anywhere I would go to India. I read Psychology & The East by CJ Jung this summer, and it really gave me a new respect for the sprituality of the east. with India, being an extremely diverse spiritual land. Jung makes the comparison that in the west we are the civilized, rational man, while in the east there still exists a people who are still in touch with their primitive being. This is appealing, because I don't think this era will last much longer in India due to the fact globalization is taking over the entire planet, and they are on their way to becoming another first world nation. What's the planet going to be like when it is all paved by concrete, just thinking about it makes me want to watch "Fight Club," that movie enstills a sense of hope to the dire situation.

I want to travel the entire planet eventually, other destinations I'd like to check out would be egypt, london, austraila, amsterdam, easter island, and on and on.. some jungles would be awesome too... or even some wild safari's out in Africa.

i'd really like to go to japan. no particular reason, just fascinates me.

also, i'd like to go to amsterdam again, as well as paris, despite the fact that the french are rude. i also need to go somewhere in the us sometime, given that i've lived here 9 years and havent ventured further off the west coast than the grand canyon (and that was only for 1 day)

i've been to many cool places, and i am thankful for that, grew up just south of london and went to france, greece, spain, holland, italy, among other places when i was younger.

oh, i also want to go to australia. and prague, i hear its one of the most wonderful cities in the world. and i want to see venice again before it sinks. man it sucks being stuck in the cold northwest with no $ to travel anywhere

prague is amazing. old style living with a dark feel to it. gorgeous atmosphere as well. very reminiscent of an old james bond flick. deffo a place to visit if giving the oppurtunity.. also, head on over to puerto rico and simply wander around. although it may not be the safest thing the island captures some of the most beautiful things. head to the jungles for some exploring, ut be carefl not to get lost. the beaches cannot be topped by anyhting. not even ibiza or panama have nicer waters. and the people are awesome. very friendly for the most part.

I've got a gentlemen's agreement with two of my friends to make a trip around the world when we finish studying...

But I want to travel around Latin America in any case, I've already been to Africa (and next yr 7 months again!!). And I've alway been a bit curious to see Surinam, our former colony.

I want to go everywhere, but here are my top ten:

1.Ancient Egypt (building of the Pyramids) 2.Feudal Japan 3.Hieght of Roman Empire (traveling the Empire) 4.Medieval Europe (traveling England, France, Spain) 5.Painting of the Sistine Chapel (because it is one of the most beautiful sights) 6.Revolutionary America (Shit, I'm American. I want to see these guys in action) 7.Present day China (Great Wall, just look at how they have advanced onto the world scene) 8.Present day Japan (just looks so different there) 9.1000 years in the future anywhere (Come on, you are curious as hell too.) 10.Right here, right now (My wife and kids are awesome)

have you ever seen Lost in Translation? that pretty much sums up Japan for me as well. Such a culture shock. I mean, some of the landscapes are beautiful, but no one spoke English even though that's their second language. Not sure if i'd ever go back. There are plenty of other places in this world i'd be more interested in visiting.

Mushroom Tea w/ the FSOL set on the headphones on some subway or train on a dark day to a new destination, really wouldn't be that bad. I'd consider altered states of consciousness to be travelling experiences.
