everything u could want in a club.... good security .... its always a good time

one of the best nights i've ever had in my life was at Aria. crowd is slightly younger than I'm used to, but it's ok since Canada doesn't treat those younger than 18 (or 21 as it were) like children as they do here. go and enjoy.

great vibe, great room, great city.

Everything you want in a club besides alcoholic drinks...

Oh yeah you're not allowe dto take your camera. Was there at a 12 hrs HOwells night l;ast year...Nice club..easy to find

Awesome place :!: Ice cold Gatorade & Red bull- which tastes different than here.. sounds strange but really it's true.. more sugary..

Saw two shows there this Summer & both times just- Gggrr8 vibe!! Also- the DJ booth is surrounded w/ Plexiglass & so you can see by standing on the side, or right behind the booth.... & watch like you're in there

Beware when you come back up- as it's underground & you open up the doors to Reality of light!!

^^^^ Reality of light is always a very interesting moment to say the least. no matter how many times I experience that time of the night/morning, it always SUCKS! lol

there really is nothing like walking out of aria at 11am into the frigid winter weather... quite a shock

Aria

Aria is all about the booth, maybe one of the best in the world. Been to many, many events there and have rarely not had a great time. Sound is really nice as well. The highs on the Aria system are crystal clear. Lots of snow in Montreal right now so beware.

this place i would recommend to everyone. Great sound and great people.. it is hard to not have a good time at Aria

#321715Post 11 of 26

Thanks for the reviews guys. I am looking forward to checking this place out. Sucks to hear about the snow.

Re: Has anyone ever been to Aria (montreal)?

i guess i shuold throw in something about how sick the lighting system is.... the best way i can describe it is that the lights in the main room are on hydraulic lift systems so they lower and raise.... hard to explain... im not sure ive ever seen anything like it anywhere else. Oh yeah, i believe Aria is equipped with Meyer sound everywhere!!

ps. if ur in the mood for some type of breakfast I highly reccomend going to Eggspectations <-- killer mimosa's to ease the pain of the border crossing! :D

#321861Post 13 of 26

i've seen many videos from there and they always look killer. Wouldn't mind catching Max Graham at one of his resident nights.

waling out at 11AM????? Damn that's a long time to be in a club. I've never been to one past 4am.

#321868Post 14 of 26

yeah i saw luke fair, seb fontaine, daNnny howells, and naked chicks there 2 years ago and i have to admit that the club is sick, great sound, and the lighting systme is outrageos. one thing that sucks is that i'm irish and from buffalo, hence i like to drink, and they do not sell alcohol there, which was quite a shock. so my advice is to get loaded beforehand if that's your style....

montreal does afterhours right. aria doesn't open till 1:30, and stereo doesn't open till 3am.

Agreed!! "Right" for sure!! First time I went to ARIA- I arrived at my friends house (after a 3 hr border crossing car ride) & it was like 8:30 pm. or so.. I figured we'd have like 3 1/2 hrs. to go out & they were like- no no.. we don't even leave to go there til like 1:30 AM... Haha.. needless to say we were pretty well LIT before we even left ... we were drinking some red/ blue energy drinks w/ alchohol.. but damn- I Can't remember what they were called... anyways... they had us feelin NiCe.. for the show :D

#322921Post 21 of 26

How was it. I couldnt go, i had to study for a final i have tomorrow? Did burridge rock?

#322937Post 22 of 26
stereo is amazing too!
they have what is considered the best analogue sound system in north america, IIRC (er, something like that :? )

Would most definitely second (or third) that! Spent an evening and the better part of the next morning there hearing Steve Porter & Eli Wilkie and was positively blown away by the place. Fantastic sound, spirited but self-controlled clientele and the sets were both top-notch. I'm not one to complain about the local clubbing scene here in New York but MTL has something very special, indeed.

#323024Post 24 of 26

^ yea, i stopped complaining about boston sucking a long time ago, yet i will say montreal is 100% marvelous compared to here!
