Do any of you have pics of a dj stand you built, or blue-print/instructions of some sort. i want to construct my own to save some cash, but my imagination is lacking at the moment and Im unable to start something. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I really like the sefour x30, but it runs $500+

Jenks, you wouldnt happen to have the CAD file still? I bet I could take a pic of this into home depot and have someone create a material list!

Re: Home Built DJ Stands...

heres mine for some inspiration. main desk was built as one piece then the monitor stands, CDJ stand and record box shelf all built later on. one day i'll get around to painting them too

don't have CAD files, was designed on the back of an envelope ;) its pretty logical though. if you want more closeups on the detail or some more info on how its put togeather let me know

(please excuse the mess btw  )

ikea probably a pretty good place to start then. you could probably make some good combinations with some of their cube stroage and a desktop

also http://www.spybox.co.uk/ but dunno if you can get them in the US

that bakes cabinet. it's not worth $1200.00 You could build one just like it with a circular saw and a jigsaw for around $100-150. Then just finish it off the color you like. It is really nice though.

yeah, thats my plan. I spoke with a buddy of mine tonight who is gonna move his studio into my basement, all night I wouldnt shut up about how nice these stands look.

I work at a cabinet shop in MN so I built 2 cabinets for the equipement, then I bisquit-joined 6 - 2x4 flat and 1 - 2x4 tall into a 12' long table. Cabinet on each end with LOTS of room underneath for records or future cabinets.

Huh, I work in MN to...not at a cabinet shop though! Small world.

Can't show you any pics yet, but I have some pretty huge speakers, which I hung on one hook each in the ceiling. Screwed a metal plate with holes in it to each side, and ran a steel wire trough it. Had to do it like that b'cos they each weigh about 15-20 kilos, but damn the sound is clear as crystal. The bass comes out really awesome!
