'Fuki-san.'
'Go ahead.'
'The Iron Chef just told me he is preparing the abalone to be used in an abalone pudding.'
Great show palmer. Iron Chef America should be top notch. I remember when Bobby Flay went up against one of the Iron Chefs. Classic.
Re: Iron Chef
I THINK IT IS THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH,BUT I LIKE THE JAPANESE IRON CHEF MUCH BETTER BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH FUNNIER. THE TRANSLATIONS ARE THE BEST

Re: Iron Chef
I can't fukin wait to see the Iron Chefs America the new season on January 16. Im a Chef and i work in 1 of the 4 restaurants (AGUAVIVA) owned by one of my Chef Idols in San Juan Puerto Rico which goes by the name of Chef Roberto Trevin~o. He's 35 years old and is one of the most succesful chefs in Puerto Rico which incorporates a lot of Latin Cuisine infused with Bistro, Asian Japanese, Seaside and International. I worked for him for about 1 year and a few months and i love the food he creates. Not only do i work with him but also love to eat at his most mentioned one called DRAGONFLY, which is Asian Latin and Sushi Lounge with nice deep house, progressive tunes heared on the background. If you guys really like the show and are excited to see the new season like i am to see my Chef kick someones ass, watch out for Chef Trevin~o battle against Mario Batalli next year. This is him on the picture below.

Iron Chef, imho, could be the best live action show in the history of television. Funny, exciting, challenging, educational, and LIVE! Iron Chef America will try, but never touch the original.
what time does it come on? what channel?
I've only seen the Japanesse version and is hillarious. Where is the American version on?
The American version just plain old SUCKS... They need to add more crazy ingredients like eals and octopus!
I used to be addicted to the show. I've seen the american version and don't think it's as good as the japanese version. I would love to be on that panel to try some of the dishes that they make.
i gotta say. i think mxc on spike tv is the funniest japanese dubbed show. freakin hilarious.

Re: Iron Chef
hahah i love the translated commentry throughout:)
Re: Iron Chef
best show on tv imo.
i'm trying to think of what would be my favorite all time battle . . . dunno. maybe the rice battle where both chefs had this look of complete perplexity on their faces when the ingredient was unveiled.
anyhow, it's great stuff. the stuff those guys and gals can do in an hour blows me away.
Re: Iron Chef
This is kinda sad, but I fall asleep to Iron Chef every night, between 11 and midnight. I enjoy watching the show and seeing the creative dishes, although I dont think I could eat all of them. I am also excited for Iron Chef America, but I dont know if it will have the same qualities as its counterpart, i.e. the announcers dubbed voices, and the chairman. It should be good though.
chairman kaga is a trip
my favorite is sekai (sp?)...he seems to have the best winning percentage
i enjoy it when they do vegetarian dishes, but they rarely do...
they like to use a lot of that duck lard and shit, whatever that is called
some crazy shit on there....i love the show
chairman kaga is insane....he loves those peppers...its hilarious
there is no way the american show will have the humor that show does, but ill definetly still watch it
