Well, my ears are still ringing.... what a night!

totally worth traveling the 4000kms required to see sasha tonight, and im happy to say that he didn't disappoint!

WE had the Sasha of old back, playing stomping tunes and banging out large track, after large track.... he started at 1, and played till 4.15, the place was packed!!!!! gavin keitel played a kick ass set opening for Sasha, and Sean Quinn was finishing up later.... sean had at least 500 people on the dance floor when they turned the lights on... (this is one of those moments, where i am shocked that i will be out in public!!!) so we went to the Victoria markets and brought a watermelon and some other fruits...

too hammered to write anything else at this moment, but i did get some videos of the night, which ill post when i get back to NZ = i dont have the cable to get the images off my camera. Plus that and im sweating like a pig and need to have a shower... lol seriously, who the fuck let me out in public... :D lolser! :?: :what :D :p

Sasha, i doubt that you will ever be reading this, but thanks for coming and thanks for going back to the hard, stomping, cranky, chugging, melodic prog house that you are so the master of...

all in all, totally worth the trip :D good fucking times... videos to follow...

Glad you had a great time .. apparently he's playing off CDJ 2000's while MAVEN gets a facelift.

Catch Sasha again in Dec (WHP with Diggers) and Jan 1st ... can't wait !

Re: Sasha live @ BIllboard Melbourne 20/11/2009

from wat i could actually see of him., he was using 4 cdjs - from what i gather, he was using the same setup as last night in brisbane.... apparantly he played his whole set from an SD card!

my, how times have changed...

to be honest, it was a horrible venue. he should have gone wit brown alley. the bathrooms were rammed to capacity, filthy hot gross club.... damn australia has some hot wimmen...

Re: Sasha live @ BIllboard Melbourne 20/11/2009

feather here, had to register a new nick cos I am too fucked to remember my password. Suffice to say Sasha destroyed me. But I thought it was a weird set, tunes were great but it felt like he was playing in segments and on the whole I didn't really get the cohesive journey. But what do I know, I'm a fucking retard right now.

Re: Sasha live @ BIllboard Melbourne 20/11/2009

best set that i've heard from the man and definitely the best set i've caught this year ... beat diggers destroying zouk twice in 1 weekend

hopefully he'll be as good if not more when he plays zouk in 2 weeks :)

Re: Sasha live @ BIllboard Melbourne 20/11/2009

Was a great night. :p

Sasha definitely brought the CHUGG back into his set las night.

Loved the warm up set by Gav. The way he left off with that looping bassless riff, which went on for like 2-3 minutes and continued on until Sasha unleashed with a bomb, was something pretty special and had the whole place jumping. :p

That intro was one of the finest things I've seen in all my time clubbing.

The man did not dissapoint and would love to him again real soon.

Yes he is. Just not too keen to shell out over $100 to see a 1-2 hour set.

Oh well, maybe another time.

^^^ You were told to wear earplugs !!

Btw Gavin Keitel is quite possibly the best warmup DJ ever!! And he played a set at Brown Alley at 7.00am which was bloody brilliant . :D

It sounds like a possible remix from Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes, but I don't know for sure.

Yeah, Billboards was loud especially when the mids/highs were turned up. Ears were almost bleeding. :p But I wouldn't have wanted it turned down at all. I thought is was also great as you can here the music quite well on all levels.

James also thought Gavs was awesome and said the punters were having an absolute blast.

I probably shouldn't, but I'll go out on a limb here and say it definitely isn't As The Rush Comes.

Sounded completely foreign on the big rig inside the club. This track really was the stand out imo.

Tunage like this is the reason why we all come out to play at night.

Could'nt agree more. Tune was dropped at the right time and at the right place.

Just need a positive id on the track, have it played out in the comforts of my garage and relieve an awesome night of Sasha. :p
i thought that set at Brown Alley was a much better than his warm up at Billboard and Brown Alley was fun until the cops came
That right!! I forgot about them . Spoilsports!! It was only 11.am

Gav's warmup for Sasha would have been different simply because it was a warmup. He would have been playing to lead into Sasha. :)

Btw It sounds like wherever you went in Melbourne Friday night you were going to have a great time. :D I went to Sunny , All locals, although Infusion aren't just local :) , and just amazing music night. !! Plus Steve had the aircon regassed and fans on so we didn't feel the heat until we went up to the rooftop in the morning.

Btw Funny post from our local forum.
Funny part of the night was meeting a few new people and they were actually coming to see Sash not Sasha I quote from this chick... "So whens the trance coming on?" me - "There isn't any trance coming on. It's a prog night" girl - "but I thought Sasha was gonna play meet her at the love parade!"

So many retards there thinking Sash was playing lolololol
:lol::lol::lol:

Sasha seems to be more active on Twitter and the social media stuff but I guess he's always been more expressive than Digweed.
