downloaded a few days ago, and ohhhh man is it good. a nice early christmas present. you should have no trouble finding it by now, i'm sure alot more users have it then when i tried to get it.

funny how this is the first tech-house digweed has ever done, and yet he makes 99% of the established tech house djs out there look like second rate top 40 djs. (maybe a bit of an exageration, but you get the idea).

got my pre-order in on amazon.

Re: digweed's fabric 20

ive listened to it about 3-4 times now and it keeps getting better and better each time. the last 20 min or so are mind blowing.........

Re: digweed's fabric 20

oh jeez, get a clue DayForNight.

first of all, listen to some proper tech house before rambling about digweed showing anyone up with this disc.

second, it's not the first tech house he's done, he does it all the time, and has been for awhile.

some of those tracks are so played it's ridiculous...he hardly makes 99% of tech house djs look second rate.

i've heard the cd, it's decent. i can name 20 other djs who could have mixed that better, and do it on a daily basis. There are indeed some shining moments in that cd, and there are other places diggers mixed and i thought, WTF? weak.

as i am a subscriber, i look forward to the hard copy, i'll listen to it from time to time, it's not horrible, but i was far from blown away.

i'm not slamming digweed here, i dig the guy, but get off the "Digweed is a Tech House god" pedistal.

Re: digweed's fabric 20

I'm glad to see you are purchasing the CD even after downloading it. We all need to do the same and help support the music. Much respect.

umm name a tech house cd he has released before this? and ya its my personal opinion that this is better than most of the tech house i've heard, including stuff from djs that YOU have recommended in thereads. i'm entitled to my opion, as you are to yours. difference is, i dont bash you for having one. you do know alot about tech house, i'll give you that...but get off your high horse about it, man.

Its a good album. Listened to it a few times. Theres some real nice stuff on it. Nothing pure amazing like other cds he has put out, but good nonetheless. Like Jenks, i am waiting for my hardcopy from Fabric. I heard they changed the front design. But anyways, this is good, i like it.

#317061Post 7 of 56

He plays tech house a lot of weeks in his kiss show. Never a commercially released cd, but this isn't the first time he's played records like this. I was reading on the tech house board some people were bashing the fabric choice and tracklist before it came out, that annoyed me. The dude has been at fabric countless times for a long time. As for the tracklist, he's been playing records like this for a long time too, and others want to label him a bandwagon jumper, which is wrong as well.

Having an opinion wether it's good or not is fine. I do think the cd is good, just wondered how it makes 99% of djs that spin this genre 100% of the time look like top 40 djs? Just found that statement to be a bit ridiculous, as riduculous as people saying digweed is a bandwagon jumper for going this direction with the fabric cd.

I'm not bashing you for having an opinion, we've all got em, and buttholes to.

#317085Post 14 of 56

cal, i farted.

#317090Post 15 of 56

I think the cd sucked. Boring!

#317092Post 16 of 56

^ you're smokin somethin.... that cd is fucking great. i don't listen to tech house too much, so i'm not familiar but with only a couple songs on the whole cd. i didn't hear anything i disliked the whole hour and ten minutes.

preordered on the UK site, cause the release date on the US one isnt till bloody MAY! uk site says january 17th.

#317115Post 18 of 56

wtf?! its that long of a delay? that is crazy! was it any more expensive?

#317122Post 19 of 56

Hmm, guess I need to get a preview of this. It's always nice imo to get a nice set from digs regardless of what style it is.

#317127Post 20 of 56

all of digweed's mixed discs, have been up to par as far, sure he's come through again... though it would be a good idea, for him to drop modified promo's beforehand, to prevent leaking onto soulseek. give it up to dig...

#317130Post 21 of 56

looking forward my subscription in the mail. may wait until it comes, still playing fabric 19 almost every day

#317163Post 26 of 56

Haven't had the chance to listen to it yet but from your posts I'm looking forward to buying this comp :)

#317226Post 27 of 56

As most of digweed's mix cds have proven over time...they get better and better each time you listen...even after 20-30 times.. People who say it's boring at first glance should give it some more tries

#317255Post 28 of 56

Re: digweed's fabric 20

on the disc does he ever get into that full-on bassline techno he plays often these days at peak time, or is it like his beirut set where he plays a bit of it but not enough to really bring your roll back, if you get my drift?

#317290Post 29 of 56

Buy it, you cheapskates

#317375Post 30 of 56

Re: digweed's fabric 20

I was warned by my good friend Jibby to listen to this album with an open mind....I have to say he was totally right.

To be honest I have to listen to it again but I was def. impressed with the programming and track selection. Overall, it was enjoyabale.

#317413Post 33 of 56

I DON"t like it at all... I won't be buying this one, too bad for me I was really looking forward to it. I just don't like what he played. :(

#320066Post 34 of 56

Listened to it, liked it, ordered it.

#320084Post 35 of 56

Thanks for the update Jenks on what the guys on THB are saying (haven't been there in a while). I was wondering if tech-heads would feel as though Fabric 'sold out' by inking Digweed.

About the disc though: I love it. I hit play on the Ipod last night and laid in bed thinking that I would just fall asleep while listening (not in a bad way, that's usually how I fall asleep every night) and ended up staying up for the hour or so that it blipped and bleeped in my ears. Very, very impressive. Will definitely pick up a hard copy as soon as I can. Who knows, maybe I will run into John in a mens' room somewhere and be pissing next to him and I'll ask him to autograph it.

#320085Post 36 of 56

ha! he might ask you if know MJ...then he'll be like "piss off you wanker!"

I feel sorry for you for having such a poor opinion.....On another note, Tech is the way to go and has been for a while and since I haven't heard the cd yet, I'm gonna say that I think he should have done more with the talent and skills he has to compile something a little more extraordinary...but then again, I haven't heard it, and i'm just rambling cause I have on more final left. FUCK YA

#320173Post 38 of 56

Its definetely a good disc, can't wait to listen to it again and form a proper opinion.

#320178Post 39 of 56

"DJ Rasoul - True Science" is THE track of the cd imo. So fuckin' sexy! 8)
