digweed set - 1st song = amazingly cool!

wow, the rest of the Digweed set is awesome too! 41 minutes - another awesome tune! I hope the Cusick set is as good as the one he did last year........

This set is so magical, this is prog, it's not tracks mixed together, but it's a journey. Progressive is an attitude, the mentality of the music moving forward This defines that Great Q6, I loved it!

I listening to it now, and I'm having a very hard time getting into the vibe of this mix, The track at 36:53 is the first one that has grabbed my ear. Even in this post, most of the recent comments have focused on Digger's set. Is it just me or is the Q6 set not delivering on its promise?

Seems like most of the comments have been about Q6's mix imo.

I agree, I thought q6 kiss mix was ok. It was no were near as good as the sattelite mix.

Without rereading the whole thread, it seemed like there were a lot of pre-listen "cool, can't wait" comments about Q6, but post-listen comments are about Digs. What did you think of the mix?

Loved it. It was different sounding and groovy; a nice change from what I've been listening to lately.

I was thinking <at first> it was going to be like his previous Kiss mix to where it was sort of downtempo/chill....

turned out to be bumpy, funky, and a pinch o madness...

good stuff...I wish I could hear him more often. You can tell he puts a lot of thought into his delivery. He's not the type just to play whatever is new... :RockOn:

i think the q6 is fantastic. highly original journey. but remember this is a made for radio mix, so it's purposely not banging or chugging along to, it's more of a listening mix, not simple fuel for the floor. but he does tease you a bit at the end with a hint of things to come...

to add to the cusick comments that are supposedly missing from this thread, i thought the mix was excellent. the man has a talent for digging deep in his collection and pulling out music that's like nothing i've ever heard.

and if he ever got an essential mix i'd seriously weep with joy.

it's ok. not my cup o tea. and i certaintly don't think it was any sort of journey. let's see an essential mix from him...then we can see what he's really like

The track at 20min into q6's mix is plain awsome!!! Remembers me so much of Layo and Bushwacka - healer! and so much of Howells GU nu breed 2 cd2 ! (how good is this one?)

I need to check this one out and see how it compares to the one he let us grab from here. His show in pittsburgh pushed him to the top of my favorite DJs list. He's incredibly talented...the thing I loved most is that he knew exactly how to push the crowd's buttons. He was torturing (in a good way) the crowd with little bits of peaky-ness, holding back for just the right moments when everyone couldn't take it anymore....made his peak-hour sections that much more effective. LOVED it!
