Nice Stereo...
Back story?
Re: Nice Stereo...
Holy crap! How much does that cost?
looks like a spaceship command center..
Re: Nice Stereo...
It must be somewhere in China (writing on the sign in bottom left ... the exit sign above the door ... those stupid "man running out the door" exit signs are exclusively asia, I think)
Pretty sure that stuff is made by a german company, I can't remember the name now. A bloke I work with was checking it out, they cost like a hundred grand a pair.
I actually listened to those horn speakers when I was looking around for speakers. No chance in hell I was buying them, but the dealer was nice enough to let me have an hour on them since I was buying my stuff from him.
They're awesome for sure. You can pick pretty much any color you want for the horns. Still, no matter what color, who has room in their house for those things?!
its not Bang and Olufsen is it?

That's the kind of shit that you MAKE ROOM FOR. Damn, I'd take out a loan to remodel for that kind of equipment. The ultrasonic stereo command center. Requirements to enter: Mental space suit i.e. Bong Rip and Don't Touch Anything. One can only dream...
to blow your ears, man this one kills
we use a similar system to record the Balance Shows and promos
its more likely to be japan than china i think :?:
Re: Nice Stereo...
I forget the name of those but the cool thing with horn speakers in general is that they are supper efficient. You can us a 3 watt tube amp and they will sound great. Looks like they have a massive solid state amp in that pic though.

No mate, this shit makes B&O look like Supermarket own-brand cheapo crap. It's PROPERLY expensive, like, hmmm shall I get another house or buy a couple of speakers and an amp?
more my style!
Re: Nice Stereo...
I can't see if they have the subwoofers on the bottom, but they're $38,000 a pair without the sub. About $50,000 with the sub.
Damn!

wow!!
how about the rest of the gear?
 nice stereo
It would be complete overkill using something like this for CDs - SuperAudio CDs or DVD Audio maybe, but you'd neeed something a good deal better that 44.1Khz/16bit to make the most out of those monsters!
Re: Nice Stereo...

i think chato is right, its more likely going to be japan than china. Even as far as hong kong is technilogically there arent too many places in china as of now that are electronically up to par..Those characters in the corner do look like chinese but japanese people use alot of chinese characters (with different translations)..Looks Hot though, thanks for the pic...
Re: Nice Stereo...
damn, and i thought my harmon kardon reciever and klipsch speakers were nice, lol
Re: Nice Stereo...
it is definitely japan. the level of technology and the exit sign are giveaways.
they are very serious about their audio too. 8)
