Thanks for doing that for me, forgot about it completely.
A review I wrote for Bedrock:
I've listened to it repeatedly for 4 days now, only stopping to do a new mix of my own (felt mysteriously inspired all of a sudden, dunno what's that all about).
Mix 1 is really really good, love the organic feel to the beginning. Cream is also Glenn Morrison's best work so far, easily. Amazing, lush track. The disc soon goes meaner which I know we all love about Digweed, his evil sounds. The emotional ending with Reflections and Lamur is a fitting end to the cd. My only problem with the mix is Mistral... I'm not a big fan of Anton Pieete as I think everything he does sounds a bit samey. The track also comes into the mix a bit out of nowhere and doesn't really fit IMO. I would've left it out and let Reflections play a bit longer (only 3 minutes of that is not enough).
CD 2 then again, is faultless. Its' that evil vortex sound John produces often late into his sets, in my opinion here for the first time faultlessly created in the studio. The Little Rascal is soooo a track I would describe as "a John Digweed-record." The level of intensity the mix enters with that track is something that a guy whose musical roots are in Metallica and the like enjoys very much. The ending with Emerald and My Black Dog is my favorite of his since T2. CD 2 also reminds me of the ending to that particular mix stretched out which is something I always wanted.
I understand the criticism I've read from people who've only listened to the samples of the tracks. They don't sound much in 30 second or a minute long snippets but the whole thing is really something else. No one else could create a mix so good with these tracks.
