If you want really dark stuff, check out Kryptic Minds, whom I mentioned in another thread, and Ekaros.
Ekaros is what a John Carpenter movie soundtrack would sound like if it was done in dubstep. Terrorizing stuff.

I've always pushed this cd on people. It's the only dubstep I really like. Haven't found anything else that has this sort of vibe.

I´ve always liked [URL="http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/djdb.php?id=957"]Appleblim[/URL]´s Dubstep All Stars cd also a guy here made a dubstep mix about a year ago that was pretty trippy can´t remember his name but his last name was Doty.

You can´t get darker than Shackleton though. But I´d hardly call him dubstep anymore. I don´t think what he´s doing can even be classified, unless "brilliant" is a genre.
Anyway, it´s not the 1st time I say this on this forum, check out Shackleton, and while you´re at it, check out anythinh on the Mordant Music label.
Oh and Demdike Stare, on the industrial bass music tip.

yeah i just quickly previewed that kryptic yesterday and thought it sounded good...but now giving it a full listen i am having diffuclty getting into it.

It's a matter of moods and situations for me.... If I'm driving a couple of hours somewhere, I can probably listen to and enjoy the whole mix, but it's gotta have a decent amount of variety to it.
