So, it's 9.9.09. Beatles Day!! Are you going to get wrapped in the new digitally remastered versions of these classics?? Or will you just stick with the originals??

I personally am going to go for the boxset, expensive it is.........but i love all that stuff so shall be purchasing it later!! :D

I'm interested in hearing the remastered versions, but considering the state of mainstream mastering at the moment, I'll probably wait for a few reviews before buying any of them.

HUGE BEATLES FAN RIGHT HERE!

I would love to buy the box set more than anything, but its a little pricey for me right now....hopefully it comes down a bit, or maybe someone will be nice and buy it for me, lol.

I will be getting the Beatles version of Rockband for my PS3 though....should be fun to play and sing along too

Everyone is allowed to like them or not, personal preferences at the end but to say that music wasnt their passion, then I think you dont know what passion means, this guys breathed and lived for music maybe at the end things were not the same but they sure made some beautiful music...

i was never a huge fan. yea, i like some of their stuff, but to me they don't hold a candle to pink floyd!

little fact, both bands were recording at abbey road at the same time and would sneak into each other's studios to listen.

^^Agreed. How on earth could The Beatles not have passion for music?? They broke down all sorts of musical/technology barriers at that time. And to not do that with passion??

^^ I´m not saying they made ugly music... I think they were used to get young people and teenagers into the rock n roll business. And they never tried to play live their best works, wtf is that???????? oh, yes, that is passion....

They never played their latter stuff live because it was pointless. They could hear themselves play live because the soundsystems back then could not play loud enough because of the screaming crowds.

In turn their live performances were being affected, so they turned to the studio to enhance their artistry. Plus the sound they started to creat in the studio could be created on the stage as technology was not that far advanced at that stage. I think they done a pretty good job of it after that!!

Pink Floyd recorded in the same studio, with same equipment, and they did play live their music. btw I´m not trying to say the beatles were shit, I just don´t like them and can´t understand why they quit playing live.
