my birthday is dec 7 and i had a 600$ credit(returning a piece of gear i was'nt using) to guitar center and i was into purchasing a cdj-1000 mkII....my friends they all pitched in for a gift card.....i opened the card that they all signed and found the unmarked giftcard........we rode down to guitar center to make my trade-in/transaction......i had gear(trade-in),120$ cash,and gift card.......handed darren"our local guitar center hook-up(thanks darren) my loot.......he pulled the cdj off the shelf and began messing w/the computers on figures to transfer everthing to a layaway......after being distracted from the counter several times i could'nt stand it much longer!...i just wanted to know how much the giftcard was for so i could calculate how long it might take me to pay off the balance........after a while darren hands me my payment receipt says "happy birthday russell" shakes my hand and sets the cdj box on the counter in front of me!...........i turned white as if i'd seen a ghost and studdered..."wha...wha..wha...what?"looking at the receipt(paid in full)and my friends[eric(emc) and steve(unome)] in complete shock and disbelief.......my friends had ALL pitched in for the balance! :shock: i stood there like a deer in headlights for a few still studdering "wha....wha....what?",picked up the box,and hugged it the whole way out! thank you to all of them i am in shock at the thoughtfulness of my loving friends......... i even got a mail-in rebate to purchase a flight case! thank you all...[ms] members unome,crazymadflygirl..... and those who are not yet members...... i love it!!!!!!!!!! :Respect: :LoveYou: :Bounce: :RockOn:
