Who the hell is this dude? I've never heard of him... I stumbled across Resident Advisor through a google search, and noticed that he's ranked #4 on its "Progressive Top 20," surrounded by sasha, hernan, zabiela, digweed, satoshi, etc.

http://www.eccentricbeats.com/showsanddjs/ricky_stonedinasia.htm for his show info...
He just started a show on Eccentric Beats 'Stoned in Asia' on the last Thursday of each month and has a forthcoming/recent release with Dan F: Dan F & Ricky Stone pres Sinosine - Two Systems/One World. I would classify the release as similar to the styles of Phil K, Habersham, Nubreed, etc. Whereas I haven't heard much of his stuff, what I have heard seems to hinge on dark breaks. He's from Sheffield in the UK and I believe has set up shop over in Asia now (hence the name of his show). He was featured on Angus Robinson's Futurized Radio show back in October and it was a pretty good set.
Re: Ricky Stone
I just discovered him myself recently thanks to the Arcadia show on EB. I've since gotten my hands on some other sets of his. I like his style. 8)
His site has a pretty damn good mix titled Ricky Stone - Star Wars Sick Boy... Damn good track, love that Smashing Pumpkins remix thrown in the mix!
I didn't see any full length mixes on his site, and slsk seems to have file searching disabled. I'm sure I'll discover some of his stuff someday
Damn this guy is good.Love the bootlegs.I might be going out on a limb here but he style kinda reminds me of Steve Porter's with those nasty basslines.

It's there you just have to look, check out the white frame on the left... Scroll down to where it says:
Mix Online: Ricky Stone 'Star Wars'
Then download and enjoy :)
Ricky just did a few gigs where he opened up for Sasha in China and he's been getting some major recognition in Asia. He'll be doing a US tour in early 2005 so keep your eyes out for that.
Bijoubreaks.com had the Arcadia set he did but I dont know if it's still up or not.
Getting his latest Mix 'Live in Manila'. Didn't know him either.

this set blew me away. this guy is awesome.
Bijoubreaks.com had the Arcadia set he did but I dont know if it's still up or not.
some are calling Ricky the next Lee Burridge... keep your eyes on this guy. he is a DJ and Producer and Two Systems/One World has been making its way into the boxes of all the top DJs. it's out now on MOB...
Ricky is also a Resident DJ on the :: BB :: site and thanks to Phil @ Eccentric Beats, his shows will be featured DL on the site. 8) http://www.mercuryserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7116
Pickleboy, PM and i'll get you caught up!
I just downloaded the two mixes he has on his site. I'll try to give 'em a listen in the next couple of days... i'm too busy at work right now to listen to the stuff, but it'll definitely get a listen'in.

Thanks, I'm excited to see what Cass puts together for the show... With Resident Advisor on board you know there's gonna be lots of top breakbeat sets coming soon.. They've also confirmed Robbie Lowe and Phil K as future guests!

I am really looking forward to my visit there next year and also my upcoming radio show on Eccentric.
My new column for Resident Advisor will be online in the next few days with reports from my tour with Sasha in China.

Welcome Ricky. 8)
Re: Ricky Stone
Thanks guys
I like the Karma you have going on here - unlike some forums! ...
Many thanks again :P
Allegedly, Ricky is the head of the 16K Triad in Kowloon, hence the only reason why he is so popular in HK. If people don't like him, they get the butcher knife!
In truth, his warm up set for Sasha in Shanghai was faaaaaaar better than any of the other djs that night. And yes, if you have not yet heard Sinosine's new release, sort it, both tracks are fucking mind-blowingly good.

My new column is now online for December
