Sander was just great around 2000, now, well, its a shame, I still consider, my lexicon, sacred, and Buenos Aires as his biggest productions. a lot of memories with these.

^^^ He is one that changed direction for me. The first times I saw him while he wasn't technically great his wonderful productions and enthusiasm made his gigs great fun. Last time I saw him I just didn't get him at all. !

but his early stuff was pretty fucking cool. Love the live album on Max Earnst "weetamix", his collab with Matthew Johnson on Perlon, older Mental Groove records, etc. I still play his Thomas Melchior collab record on Cadenza for warm ups. He had some jams out of his Lucien N Luciano alias too- Future Senses on Klang, and probably most notably the Blind Behavior album on Peacefrog which produced this cut:

Deep Dish had a brief spell when they were brilliant in 2000 and 2001. It tailed off after that.

Them 6 hour sets at Gatecrasher where shite. His sets didn't build or flow at all. He would play some of the same records 2 or 3 times in a night. It seemed to me that as long as he was banging it out hard everyone was happy.

Can I just say thank you for resurrecting this thread. I just read it all. It's great !! :lol:
I have seen Zabiela twice since this thread and the last time I actually left the club and went to another club during his set. . He is so mechanical. There is no emotion in his music for me.

I saw him for the first time in 15 years this year and thought that he was brilliant. He played most of the tracks that were on his Transitions mix a few weeks later, along with a very different version of Greece 2000.

First and only time I saw PVD was in 99. I'd never heard of him before that and hearing music like "for an Angel" and "Words" completely changed my perspective on music. Consequently it lead me down a trance hole until stumbling upon Digweed's Kiss show in 2000. And here we are.

Ive enjoyed both of these while working out. Also enjoyed his Reflections album. But it’s been many yrs since I’ve heard them, will listen and see if they are any good now, have my doubts.

I was at that gig. There was a groups on the dance floor that took a child’s farmyard kit and were dancing around it. It sure freaked some people out.
