Ok I finally found someone I really don't get. Last friday night I saw the Chris half of Hybrid. I was bored rigid. To my ear it was just ploddy nothing. Yet people I know and respect were raving about him ???

Seen the two before . Forgettable ! Last year the other one was conspicuously better!!

Have to say Friday night wasn't a total loss . Hearing Henry Saiz productions in a club was amazing. We are all was sooooooo goooood !! :D

Yousef. I bought the Yousef / Behrouz Frontiers CD a while back, these are supposed to be similar DJ's from opposite sides of the pond. I love the Behrouz CD but the Yousef one does nothing for me at all.

she used to be a lot better than she is now, i,ve actually met her and she was really down to earth and sound, being strange works for a lot of names as a way to get people to pay attention to them, call it a modern day strategy

The Italian djs/producers that have been so popular in recent years, DJ Tennis, Mind Against, Tale Of Us etc.. I know they can be VERY good but generally speaking their sets don't seem to go anywhere.

Solomun can't mix for his life but he can be fun (his GU is pretty good).

Tale Of Us were second in the RA Poll and I used to really like them (see her Boiler Room). Now they just go on and on. And on.

Tennis' set from panorama bar 2013 is quite well programmed and got damn nice track selection... dont you have it?

The nostalgic notion of "any time in the past was better" is true many times but can be tricky as well.. is applicable to djs, music in general, movies an so on..

Just remembering :) I have seen Danny b2b Hernan three times. London Liverpool and B.A. They were great back then and are even better now. Although Liverpool was a bit of a worry. :lol:

There are a lot of dj's that I lisen to based on what other people recommend, or who have made a name for themselves, and I end up thinking 'What?'.

I think the problem for me is that most DJs can sound phenomenal in a club, however you can listen to the same set at home and it doesn't translate the same way. What can sound banging in a club can sound boring on a home sound system.
