Just saw this listing:

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/yewminyst

... cheeky bastard - no doubt they grabbed them from here too, but probably didn't donate.

So I've reported them for breach of copyright and selling unauthorised material

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

I always email all the bidders telling them of a great site they can get them for free. I'm not sure you can still do that with eBay anymore though.

PS. superwave (yewminyst) find another way of saving for another caravan

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

At first look it's a bad thing to do, but i guess some people maybe want a whole year togheter of the show for only 10 dollars imo.. The important thing is they must know that can grab it for free as well

Yeah I saw they changed it. Used to see people bidding stupid money for Dave Seaman's Renaissance America CD. I would message them and tell them they could buy it on Amazon for less than £10

Yeah I buy a lot of old mix tapes on eBay and when I converted them I would always message all the people I out bid and send them a link

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

while we have the ebay topic, i just recently joined as i wanna sell some gear. Now say i put a min and a buy it now and it does not get to the buy it now price..

EG

$500

Buy it now $900

Say by the end of the Auction it gets to $700 do i as a seller have the option to not sell it for $700. Reason i ask cause i saw somewhere that if that were to happen too bad you have to sell it. If the price you want does not look like it will be achieved by the end of the Auction you have min 12 hours to delist. Is this true??

I think you are legally obligated to sell it unless you put a reserve on it and no one bids over the reserve.

#1239812Post 17 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

put a reserve hmm will have to read up on that. Not done that yet. Thanks

#1239814Post 18 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

You can't put reserves on in Australia !! If you want to cancel an auction, you have to do it before it gets to 12 hours till end. Under 12 hours you cannot add change your add or cancel it.

Be really careful! Once someone places a bid at your starting price the Buy it Now is taken off and it runs like an ordinary auction. You only get what the final bid is. Do not under any circumstance put a starting price that you would not accept. All these poor people who are encouraged to start their auction at 99c lose heaps. :(

#1239815Post 19 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

If you where really unscrupulous you could set up a second account and bid for it yourself from the other account. You would loose a little bit of money as eBay still want their cut. But be careful eBay monitors this and you could find yourself blacklisted.

Thanks DIDI, the first time i tried to sell i went well under what i thought would be reasonable if i sold it. Lucky i read the part where it said the 12 hour thing and whatever it sells for it sells at.

Chunky nah dont wanna do that. It's not fair on other people. Thanks for the idea anyway ;)

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

its pissing me off. I have all these watchers but no one is bidding GRRRRRR...

#1239818Post 22 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

What is your item number.

Btw in this day and age, people snipe very close to the end of the auction. It's also not a good idea to get yourself blacklisted. Yell if you need anymore info I buy and sell so I'm pretty up to date.

Most people bid in the last few minutes of the sale. I always use auction snippier

#1239829Post 27 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

whats that? Is it like it bids right before the auction finishes?

#1239831Post 28 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

listing is ok i think, its got all the info but you need to sort out your paypal account.. i dont know whats happening in Australia but in UK people are discouraged from eBay itself to pay via bank transfer, or western union... best way is paypal (but they also take a piece of your cake) , a cheque or postal order. at least i think you should add payment by cheque and postal order. it will atract more potential buyers for sure

#1239833Post 29 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

ok thanks will add it. Not that i would want it. Would have to be clear before i ship it across.

#1239838Post 30 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

You have to accept Paypal. You actually have major problems with your listing, I wrote you a whole long pm then closed the window before I sent it, Too many windoes open. But you need to know .,

#1239839Post 31 of 58

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

yes cheques need to clear in your bank before sending the mixer out. as a buyer i prefer paypal. as a seller i prefer postal orders.;)

ALSO... it's not your fault, BUT I tend not to buy anything expensive from people with no feedback, or low feedback... That might be working against you. It's totally "unethical" but you can also have a friend bid what you want for it IF you forgot to end the auction 12 hours before it ends.

Good Luck :D

Re: Someone's selling the Kiss100 sets on ebay

I'm not keen on people leeching off [ms] not donating and then trying to make a quick buck off peoples efforts and dedication.

Seems like we'll have to differ in our views eh ?
