i was using winmx to get my sets. and i asked "tomtom" if i could mass download on my t3 line. we started chatting and i asked where he got these recent sets ... he pointed me here. la la la.

i still am not sure if it was tomtom or not. do you remeber me?[/quote]

mmh I used WinMX for a few months but to be honest I can't remember such a conversation. But I also smoked a lot back in these days so it could be.

#308860Post 49 of 70

Damn, I sure do miss AudioGalaxy; those were the days. 56k trying to grab as much music as I could stand only to be able to burn it at about 4x.

#308872Post 50 of 70

Thank you Bro for openning my eyes to the world of the electronic music!!

I don't download from the site as much anymore, but do enjoy insightfull commentaries of various board members.

I'm from the Audio Galaxy days. God those really were the days!

#308991Post 58 of 70

Re: How did people first find [ms]

I stumbled across it from audiogalaxy. There was the Kiss 100 or Digweed group that I got into. It wasnt too long after that audiogalaxy was closed. But they kept it alive. And the rest is history..:D

#309011Post 59 of 70

I actually did a yahoo search for john digweed. I think I also added the word downloads into the search. And it was in the top five when I saw it. I immediately knew that this was to be a part of my future.

#309033Post 60 of 70

#309051Post 62 of 70

A friend of mine told me about a progressive community from which hedownloaded music, but since I had only a 56k connection, I decided to check the community, which I got kind of addicted to. :D
