well? seriously, dont vote dilute the vote by voting yes b/c you are a smoker. i wanna try to get an "outside view on this.:"

#308101Post 2 of 29

I used to smoke, haven't in years... the shit makes me crazy now. It's dangerous, but muuuuch less dangerous than alcohol. Legalize it, restrict it like alcohol, and tax the fuck out of it, like Cuba will be when its embargo ends.

#308104Post 3 of 29

yeah, same here. used to smoke a ton but havent in about 3 years. i would not go back , but i do think it should be treated like alchohol. i.e. give a DWI for people who are retarded while behind the wheel. but let em have it. who are they hurting if they smoke a bowl in thier basement? you hurt more people by driving you car 3 times a week.

#308107Post 4 of 29

dont vote if you use the internet either

#308108Post 5 of 29

But if you poll the non-smokers view only, then your 'outside' viewpoint is possibly biased and not an accurate representation of the general public.

Why not open the poll to everyone?

#308110Post 6 of 29

there are pros and cons to it being legal. the pros are obvious, but what i'dd like to know are the cons. there has to be some reason it still isnt legal yet!

#308129Post 7 of 29

because everyone thinks its a "gateway" drug to other things.... that is one of the main cons in peoples' minds.

lots of polls are skewed to make it appear that it creates violence too. in some cases that might be true, but i think in most its the exact opposite.

sorry, i just wanted to hear the viewpoint of the non-smoker, because to them, it doesnt truly affect them(medically) so i tried to keep it a matter of their ideas. obviously those who smoke will want it. those who dont shouldnt really be affected if someone wants to lite a spliff b4 watching the wizard of OZ with the dark side of the moon :D

personally i feel like I never hurt a soul when i used to blaze. so i just wanted to hear your points.

I would like to see made legal over here in the U.K but i can't see it while Blair is in power

#308172Post 10 of 29

I don't smoke and in fact I've hated most of my experiences when I have smoked. Legalize it though.

#308181Post 11 of 29

anyone know the details about it being legalized in montana?

#308184Post 12 of 29

I was... and still probably am  a heavy smoker, so I didn't vote in the poll, but I can name quite a few pros and cons.

pros:

  • the market (and the quality of the weed) could be controlled
  • the government could get its share out of it by collecting taxes,
  • an age limit could be imposed (I am simply a little bit concerned about 10 and 11 year old kids who smoke pot)
  • I think weed could be used for all sorts of things (medical and industrial use)
  • noone would be a criminal just for smoking pot or owning some for personal use (which IMHO should never be a crime)

cons:

  • weed would definitely become more expensive,
  • there's always a matter of health problems connected to Marihuana (it isn't exactly healthy no matter how you look at it),

Honestly, besides the health hazard I don't think there are any other serious cons... 8)

#308185Post 13 of 29

They should legalize it everywhere --> works fine here in Holland Don't smoke btw ....

#308221Post 14 of 29

im pretty much to the fact that if something doesnt affect me personally & you do your thing on your side of the fence.. have at it.. smoke till the ozone depletes..

hm.. but then it would affect my pastey white skin.

#308230Post 15 of 29

if weed is going to be legall, is gonna be cheap!

#308244Post 16 of 29

You could also just legalize posession of small amounts and let people grow one or two plants at home...

#308269Post 17 of 29

definitely agree to make it legal, just treat it like alcohol and tabacco and tax it.

#308288Post 18 of 29

legal or not... it should not be a schedule A drug in the US...

#308292Post 19 of 29

you can legalize it, it wouldnt be such a bussines like is now, but it would be nice, this way you can contol it, btw dont smoke eather.

Maybe they should do General Elections on internet polls.

#308371Post 22 of 29

hell

I wanna be able to walk in a store pick my shit out and leave

just like a 6 pack

#308404Post 23 of 29

I'd like to see some responses from the people that voted no. I think it should be legal to have and smoke for everybody. I also think that there should be restrictions based on age and for driving, just as there is for alcohol.

One of the problems that I could forsee, is abuse by young kids. Of course, there are young kids that already abuse it, but I'd hate to see MORE young kids abuse it.

One thing is for sure, there would be a lot less people in jail for herb.

Oh yeah, I'm a smoker of the funky buddha.

#308530Post 24 of 29

fuck pot.

it's all about the peyote.

#308533Post 25 of 29

ONE THING, if it were legalized it would be a lot cheaper, not more expensive. supply increases will lead to price drops. compettition

#308712Post 26 of 29

i totally agree...you know the side effect of what happens when you smoke and when you drink, whether it is short or long... you are an adult its your choice...i choose not to

#308727Post 27 of 29

making babies is my new drug. fucking love it.

#308764Post 28 of 29

I don't found pot too dangerous, so it's fine if it could be legal, I'm totally agreed with that.

#308863Post 29 of 29

I say we throw all those junkies in jail!

j/k that would be just plain ridiculous... o wait we're already doing that.
