:NotMe:
Happy holiday to those that have it... We have to wait until Monday... Still a nice long weekend though :D
Re: Happy 1st of May
^ Yes, still a long weekend it is.
But I don't understand this, I heard that in the UK the holiday is on Monday; Isn't the workers' day on the 1st of May worldwide? Isn't it an international thing?
Re: Happy 1st of May
Ours is Oct 5 in Sydney I think.

We call it Mayday bank holiday here Shiva which is the first monday of may.. Brits like their beer traditionally and to many people monday is just a hangover so national holidays tend to be a monday for that reason. Enjoy
Re: Happy 1st of May
in the US, its not even recognized. They hardly even report on all the Mayday riots!
Re: Happy 1st of May
Glad to know what May day is all about then :D
Re: Happy 1st of May
In the US, we steal Mexico's cinco de mayo. but it is just for us to drink a lot of beer.
Wtf will happen in Mexico on Monday when everyone is on lockdown?

Re: Happy 1st of May
cool...what holiday?
Re: Happy 1st of May
While almost the Whole world has this in their calender as the "Working day"....
USA doesn't recognize this day as a legitimate holiday ,becuase it was instituted by the Commies back in the days in Paris as a homenage to the sindicalists that were executed in Chicago back in the 19th century ,and so these cunts made " labor day " instead which is celebrated on september.

In Mexico 5 de Mayo is not even celebrated as much as it is in the USA, yeah its a holiday, but people dont look at it the way its looked upon in the US, i mean, shit you go to the stores here in Texas and you see billboards, decorations all sorts of shit to celebrate something that we Mexicans dont even care that much about.
Re: Happy 1st of May
Why is 5 de mayo so celebrated in US ? ,
The reason is becuase Is a good way for North Americans to integrate with Mexicans living in USA. and also because of "French hate " .
Re: Happy 1st of May
Maybe because in the southern U.S. there is a huge Mexican community; Probably there are more Mexicans than Americans, no?
Probably there are more people that speak Spanish than American language in that area...?
Re: Happy 1st of May
the thing is that 5 de mayo is celebrated largely in the USA, and not just only in southern regions.
i think its mostly beer companies trying to appeal to the Latin community.

Re: Happy 1st of May
1st of May = Workers' day
I am stunned, I really thought the whole planet takes a day off from work on the 1st of May....lol
Re: Happy 1st of May
^ Only in socialist countries. Kinda like Labor day, but in may!
Re: Happy 1st of May
Not necessarily socialist countries; I think that in France, Italy and Belgium they have Labor's day, in the 1st of May.
Re: Happy 1st of May
Our little country celebrated 4 public holidays in April
10 - good friday 13 - family day 22 - election day 27 - freedom day
And then if we hadn't fucked up our economy enough we also had 01 May too
