Queensday The Netherlands: possible attack on royal family

This just in: a guy in a black Suzuki Swift just speeds right through a set of barricades and a crowd cheering at the dutch royal family, injuring at least 14 people, possibly more. There is no information as to the nature of this action, but at least it seems pretty sure it's not an accident: someone drove a car right into a crowd towards the bus that carried our Queen and the family.

Biggest questions: who and why? A lot of speculation already on the Islamists of course, but this might also have been an individual action of someone who simply lost it and was looking for attention. Who knows, my guess is that radical Muslims would've probably done the job much better -this is grave, but very amateurish. Check out the link, the vids and photo's are in the links in pink.

Still: what the fuck. We've had so much discussion lately on Dutch identity being threatened, this is probably THE day that you see it's still there and people are proud of this country, the whole fucking place is orange or tri-coloured. I'm not a royalist/monarchist, but I love how this country always turns into one big family once a year, and now even that gets taken away. Nice.

not really the most suitable people destroying terrorist/spectacle machine!!!

A rather quick and unjust conclusion. I know the political climate doesnt do much to help things. but anything that happens these days the first thing anyone says is its islamic terrorists. now, i never lived through the IRA years but was it like this? these sort of events are certainly becoming more common as are shootings in schools! is it political change or cultural change?

That's what I said: bullshit on the Islamic attack, so far it looks much more like an individual action. And the car...I mean, it almost looks like it's a deliberate but unprepared action. I can't for the life of me see why someone would be so stupid to plan something like this ahead and not get a big car ready to sort max effect...
