Whenever I load the MS-forum my antivirus (kaspersky) flashes a warning, this has never occured until now so im a bit puzzled...

Kaspersky blocks access to to a file in the "temporary internet file" directory and claims that the object is an virus named "Trojan-Spy.HTML.fraud.gen"

Any thoughts?

:D LOL, well im good enough to read my anti-vir warnings.

So I cleaned my temp internet directory, kaspersky seems happy enough no warnings at all. I log on to another forum and surf around a little, still no warnings. Then back here and sure there it is again.

Everytime I try to do something similar warnings like this appear:

"Attention! An infected object detected.

Access to the object C:...\temporary internet files\content.ie5\k1ajspur\wievtopic[1].htm is blocked. Object is infected with a virus Trojan-Spy.HTML.Fraud.gen. You are advised to delete this object."

So I delete it through kaspersky but as soon as I go to another thread its back.

Just thought someone could have a clue about this?

Too bad we can't have warnings like this for women.
..or for men ffs!
 That's ok, I would have no use for that.

what page are you visiting when you get this error ?

#305442Post 11 of 19

Every page @ MS forum, different messages depending on what i do though... something as follows:

\wievtopic[X].htm \index[X].htm \posting[X].htm

Sorry for being unclear, I'm no wiz in english either..

Oh, the X's are instead of numbers.

Could it be that my settings in Kaspersky are set at too high security? If the board set cookies or something like that. I find that kinda strange since im using the recommended settings...

#305446Post 13 of 19

btw there's some sort of error with that.... all the pages on MS are .php extensions and not .htm's.... that's very odd

-e-

#305448Post 14 of 19

Yeah i got .php extensions in my adressfield, still Kaspersky says .htm

Well thanks for your help, I'll keep you posted if it's still there after tomorrow when I will clean my comp properly.

THNX!

#305457Post 15 of 19

I can't find Trojan-Spy.HTML.Fraud.gen on Kaspersky's virus encyclopedia, or through google :|

#305467Post 16 of 19

And thats not all, I just realized that the files Kaspersky warns about are not located where Kaspersky say they are? I found them in an completely different folder... seems like my comp are "seriously twisted"

Well im off to sleep on it! Goodnight all!
