I was rollin' down the street in my truck, sixty+ degrees out today, and came across a CD I had all but forgotten in my binder: Cirrus's "Drop the Break" It's a really good piece of EDM from the 95-97 era before technology really ramped up in sophistication and flexibility. I used to listen to this all the time back in high school, and bring backs fond memories of cruising at night to and from parties, and reminds how far electronica has come since then (nobody back then really knew what electronic music was)

Some fine tunes on here, and they all make it feel like summer is around the corner.

stop and panic was off thier second cd. It was probably thier biggest hit I think, although they first became famous for thier "superstar DJ" track which I can't find on youtube at the moment. I consider them Florida's answer to the Crystal Method.

Re: Cirrus

Yeah i went to a show with D fuse, John Kelly, CIRRUS, and Carl Cox in tampa one time. It was definitely one of those shows that Ill always remember. Cirrus' show was sweet. they had these glow in the dark striped suits on, and one dude had the electric bass if Im not mistaken, going the F off. Goodtimes.

they were on moonshine for a while. not sure what happened to that label? Moonshine to me was all about the rave scene, and the rave scene has long gone here in the US, save for pockets in CA and elsewhere. Maybe they're rebranding themselves?

Re: Cirrus

Cirrus!?! Wow that's a name I haven't heard in quite awhile. I was digging their sound back in the day courtesy of Moonshine. Ah the rave scene...where has it gone? If you live in Minneapolis the rave scene morphed into the swanky club scene :(

Re: Cirrus

i remember first geting into EDM and just buying everything from Moonshine cuz it had that bright orange Label that stood out in the hundreds of CD's. Think they folded in the early 00's right. Cirrus- Back on a Mission classic track on DJ Dan Beats4Freaks- Moonshine BTW8)
