I'm torn between going to Hernan Cattaneo (my fav. DJ) @ Shine or Sasha & Digweed @ Mansion tomorrow night.

I love prog. house, and I just saw Sasha and Diggerz here in Orlando on Friday night, and it was the best shit I've heard in a club in a long time (mainly cuz there's not much prog house anymore). So if I go to S&D I'm almost guaranteed a good time and good music. Also, my company is going to S&D, so if I go Hernan, I'd be going solo, which isn't really a big deal. The other thing is, in the two previous years I've been to WMC, I haven't been to many different clubs, it's always the same ones. I've seen Shine many times, Vagabond, Karu & Y, the Fifth, and the Grass Lounge. I'd love to check out Mansion.

On the other hand, I love Hernan. I listen to his sets all year round, (they're all so fucking good) waiting to go to see him @ WMC, cause it's my one chance a year to see him. The only thing is, I haven't heard a whole lot from him recently, and more recently I THINK he has been spinning more and more of the technoish sound into his sets, which I'm not too big on. His prog. house is fucking brilliant though.

So, what you guys pick? S&D @ Mansion or Hernan @ Shine?

Sober or only drinking alcohol I would see Hernan.

Planning to partE - I would suggest S&D.

I'm basing my opinion on several different factors, not just a knee-jerk response.

haha. i like ur reasoning. maybe thats is why i didnt enjoy snd in otown as much as i thoght i would. sober doesnt cut it for them

Are you all good friends? Have you gone to something like WMC with this company before? Are they as into the music as you are?

Depending on your answers to these questions, you may want to go to Hernan so that you are not partying with your company.

The company I'm going with I'm very close to. My cousin, in fact. He's been in the scene since the early 90's and got me into it. We both have the same taste in music. We were gonna go to Hernan, but he's set on going to S&D, esp after the Orlando show. I probably won't be "partE"-ing, although I would love to, but ever since my first time at WMC 2 years ago (was best party/Eing experience of my life, saw Hernan @ Karu & Y), it's never been the same. I have a shitty anxiety problem every time I roll, and I think I'm just better off drinking. I probably will try rolling one more time, on pure molly, but I won't risk that anxiety shit on thursday night. If I do it, it'll be Fri. at HOPE with Seaman and Warren.

I've personally never been bored by Hernan's sets...I think they're brilliant, but I'm just hesitant on if he drops too much of that techno sound, it really turns me off. If only someone has seen him live very recently and knows what he's playing...

I know S&D will be fuckin great musically as I just saw them. But you do bring up a good point of posers @ Mansion.

And as far as Sat. I will def. be doing Digweed @ Vagabond. Went last year, and I'll never hear music on that level again for the rest of my life, I'm almost sure of that. Still, can't miss this one.

I would suggest Hernan...this is a perfect scenario really cuz if you think about it all the pricks will be going to S n D and there will be a nicely filtered crowd of true Cattaneo fans...Cattaneo mos def!

When I saw him @ WMC it was the best set I'd heard from him live in a while...I have never seen S&D together and would love to see them perform together at some point, but not in that setting

you just saw s&d. See hernan, then the only dilemma would be between sasha or digweed. Having been to vagabond last year, you may be better off seeing sasha alone this year. Your brain(and ears) can't handle what happened last year two years in a row lol.

Very hard decision to make. If I was in your shoes, I would choose s&d (even if I had just seen them), because I wouldn't have as much fun partying alone as I would with friends.
