:D I had a fantastic time. I went in to the club having never heard DT play live. I didn't have any expectations, maybe a few preconceptions. From what I've read in the past, peoples' opinions of him have come across as somewhat mixed. He has diehard fans and eternal haters.

The guy put on a show. He didn't talk too much, something his detractors criticise him of, and the music was mesmeric. He really put together a great journey of music. The crowd were wonderful and the vibe something else. Had some real comedy moments with his torches and that metal ball he squashed his head with.

I can say it was one of the most memborable of clubbing nights.

icky DT.

glad you had fun though :)

#299703Post 5 of 51

i don't get it though, what makes him icky? he created such a great vibe. ok he talks sometimes, but he's being a showman, it all added to the theatrical nature of it all. it sure made me feel better about laying down ?22 for it.

#299704Post 6 of 51

i just dont like the guy or his music too much

#299706Post 7 of 51

he must have hit on you one night. :Naughty: is he a close talker?

#299709Post 8 of 51

Tenaglia, when will you ever come to Italy?

Danny said he would be touring Italy in 2005, including Napoli and Palermo, among others.

As for the night, it was one of the more memorable clubbing nights I've ever had, and I've seen Danny more times than I can count.

Love the video. Felt like I was there again. :D

awesome dj, seen him twice............

played an amazing set for space at Homelands a few years back, Sasha was on after and we didnt even hang around to see his set!

Plus his Anthens GU's is one of the best, totally original!

My mates went down to this, but couldn't make it as I had a engagement party, nevermind next time!

Yo! :)

Wish I could have been there... Ikon was cool but the videos I've seen are out of this world... remind me of his Tunnel days and early Vinyl. :)

#299905Post 16 of 51

tried to download the video but link wouldn't open -

#299917Post 17 of 51

it seems to be working ok, nevertheless, check your pm.

#299918Post 18 of 51

I found the video to be jumpy even after downloading, both in Winamp and Windows Media Player...

#299919Post 19 of 51

jumpy? eek. i wasn't happy with the sound quality, there was a lot of crackling after a while. but it seemed ok. does it play strangely? or is it me jumping up and down. it's hard to keep a steady hand in those situations.

Re: Danny Tenaglia at Heaven in London, Friday 12 Nov 2004

He is b far the best DJ out there. He set the stage for all the others out there. He is my fav. Tenaglia for president :RightOn:

Some wmv's play ok, others don't... The sound keeps cutting in and out like it's buffering even though it's fully downloaded...

It's all good, I'm not worried about it... like Eddie I've seen Danny more times than I could ever count, I just wanted to see what it was like (read: see what he was playing)... :)

Yo Rich! :D That's exactly what I was thinking. Not only was DT brilliant, but the club had that old school DT party vibe feel to it. I think people got spoiled having DT in New York on a weekly basis. London hadn't seen him in years, so the vibe in the place was electric. Singing along, clapping, whistling, screaming and dancing until the very last track. I'm glad I was a part of it. :D

Re: Danny Tenaglia at Heaven in London, Friday 12 Nov 2004

He did an interview on Tongs show on friday and said he was gonna tour next year with many European and UK gigs in 2005... "after the holidays" :)

#300039Post 25 of 51

DT's def one of the biggest DJ's worldwide! He was a kind of father to DJ Vibe, and if someone out there can remember they work together under the NYLX moniker, Rui Da Silva and DJ Vibe (U.S.L.) and DTenaglia on a track entitled "Goosebumps" and it's all about! GOOSEBUMPS old school material!

Yeah the only thing that gets people in NYC going like that is Deep House any more and I've had enough... I want a big room crowd with big room energy and a small room vibe.

Is that too much to ask for?????

How was the sand? Did they properly decorate the place a la bora bora?

......or was that just hearsay?

#300410Post 35 of 51

well they used the Star Bar for the Bora Bora room. They had palm trees and stuff in there and there was some sand at the back of the room...I think.

Whats that track at around 1:35 in the video?

#300468Post 38 of 51

I would love to see Danny play. I'm hoping that when I can finally move to NYC that I can see him play regularly. I've heard some awesome stories about him.
can we get some tenaglia sets in the download section? :D
If only, DT's sets are virtually never recorded (he won't allow it) and if they are, the chances are he will keep the only copy :( Sad, but to be honest, the only way to experience him is live...
