A feeling and a house party

Now as Orlando is in one if its down times. Sometimes I find my self wondering why I started into this scene. I often ask my self was it all worth it, the money, time, and the friends. I think its just a little funny that, when things like that get into your head. Something always happens to make you remember why you do this. Last night I had one of the best times I had had in a long time. It was not a club or a big event. There was not an even a huge head liner. It was just me and a friend, playing records for 60 people that we didn't know, a simple house party. Everything through the night was right in its place, nobody was to trashed, and the people were so cool. But what made the night was seeing the face's of the people there. Knowing that they really enjoyed there self because of us. Its really nice to have that back here at home again, it so reminds me of the old days. Rock on orlando ! Just wanted to share, and see others thoughts.

Thanks to everyone there, we had a great time. Mad props to Jole and Dave and the kid in the chair eating his face :-)

Right on....sounds like a cool time. There's a handful of us in Orlando that shared the old school times.

We should all get together and have an event of our own...that would be the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiite.

count me in boys. i threw quite a few little dankers in the short time i lived in o-town!

anything like a house party in the works for NYE? my girlfriend and i are going to orlando or tampa and havent decided on which one yet. a house party is fully what we wanna do!

#299641Post 7 of 30

Not NYE...I'll be out of town. But let's get something together. I'm down like a whore with no teeth.

#299646Post 8 of 30

As i said in a post of mine regarding what you were planning for NYE:

House parties kick big events into touch big style. Dont get me wrong i still love to go out to clubs but the atmosphere and intimacy of having a few friends at someones house just cant be beaten. The party i went to for the millenium was thee best party i have ever been to and it was all down to the guy spinning the records. He didn`t play dance music all night, he throw in some party tunes and even a bit of cheese but he did it all just at the right moments.

So.. it doesn`t suprise me at all Xzen that you had a great time.

Re: A feeling and a house party

too bad skat. any other orlando heads strumming it up?

#299659Post 10 of 30

Fuck that dude. You WILL wait. It's my city, not yours. You lay claim to that shithole Atlanta. Ah, oh well. Hope you guys have fun.

#299662Post 11 of 30

can't wait. i'll only be able to take about a week off. that includes a couple days before NYE, and possibly a couple days after. it's your own fault jack-o and i never claimed anything about this place other than the smell outside is horrible.

#299664Post 12 of 30

I can remember a few other things you've mentioned about it...but maybe that has to do with the rotten odor.

^ Dear God.

To the OP: That's what it's all about man. Just having a great time. It's so easy to lose sight/perspective when you're at those big clubs sometimes - you think about getting pussy, looking cool, etc instead of having a great time!

I love those small intimate house parties.

Damn. I'm going about it all wrong then. I'm still thinking about getting laid even at house parties!

 house party rules...the feeling is great, i love playing to small, friendly crowds, having a really nice time with all the buddies, and in the best moment of the party, kick in a hell of a tune... soemtimes, as said in the beginning, you dont know the crowd even if pretty small, but the vibe goin off is huge.
