This is my favorite house track ever, from 1995. Punchy 909 kick and claps, sloppy hi-hats, disco samples, a trumpet solo, electronic bassline and strings underpinning much of the track.

was always a bit reluctant to appreciate the whole house party thing, cos' i was always heavily influenced with breakdancing and classic old school hip hop block parties when i was younger. i also heard that there used to be some dissension between the 2 movements back in the day. (?)

it was my brother in-law -- he was a house dj back then -- who had influenced me with that og chitown glory, and i immediately respected and was loyal to this killer sound from thence onward.

say...anyone here ever a Naked Music fan? That stuff takes me back to a good 7-8 years ago when I first moved to Indianapolis... Some people are surprised to find that a guy like me who spins a lot of "minimal" stuff today actually started out completely in deep house. I still love listening to some of this stuff...also still have these tunes a bunch of other deep house records in a few crates back in my parents' basement - might get them soon and make a very different MCast mix. 8)

there was just a set of remixes that were to be released on Pacha recordings but E Morillo put a stop to it, so now they are released as bootlegs.
