Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

in a few months....

Digweed: "Dj's are fvcking c*nts"

kidding of course. Either Digweed is going to become the white wizard with this new setup, or he's just going to be ok. Looking forward to hearing some lives sets on this.

/obligatory track id request

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

kool.

i for one am not worried about Digweed loosing his mojo from this switch!! I think he can only get better!!

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

Can't get worse, only better. The only thing that will change is the ability to loop, and to loop more than two tracks. That's really it, imo....It's not like these programs give you the magical ability to dj properly, but that discussion has been done to death.

Thanks for posting the vid :)

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

i personally think the only thing that made john switch to soft is the not having to carry so many cds thing and organization vs. simplicity of a HD with all his tunes, organized. nothing more. john is not sasha, and I dont think he intends to be one...

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

Wow that club really doesn't look all that big.

Damn for all the time he had to look at that monitor, he could have already had his new track ready on the other deck.

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

He looks like he's still finding his way around the set up. Guess there's no hope of Diggers interacting with the crowd now.

Exactly. Where else is he suppose to look for his next track, being that they are on the computer??

It's getting a bit tiresome hearing people say that by using a program off of the computer makes it look like you aren't dj'ing...Even Hawtin says that what he is doing at least makes it look like he is doing something when he is using the laptop......Ooh, I better look like I am doing something or the people will thing that I'm not dj'ing....Oh no... Gimme a fucking break...

Re: Digweed's Traktor set-up (vid)

I for one welcome this change. Its ridiculous expecting him not evolve with technology. Kudos to those who still play off vinyl but IMO to be top of the game you got to keep up with the times. The DJ ing profession is increasingly becoming more like live producing and I love that...it gives the DJ more freedom to do whatever he wants while also sounding great at all times. I predict that with this new set up Mr Digweed's Vortex shall engulf the world...those that survive will pass the legend onto their children. So....Good luck to those seeing him at the WMC you are the first ones to go...

No he will have a custom made Ademantium-Titanium case which will be the only material not affected by the vortex. He himself will go insane but the vortex will gain a mind of its own so it will utilize Mr Digweeds brain and body (as a host) and use it for it to spread to all corners of the world. We are screwed...unless... Mr Sasha comes along and creates a disruption in the vortex long enough for us to be sent into another dimension which will shield us from the vortex as it destroys our world. Later when the havoc of the vortex has died down we can safely return and rebuild our civilization once more. thats just a loose prediction it might happen slightly differently but the Vortex is coming either way.
