Awesome, how did you set go?
I played for about an hour, Sean was chomping at the bit to get on the decks, so I gladly handed the headphones over to him :D looking forward to listening back to it, it always sounds different than you remember it, lol
nice one!

hoping this gets out!!!!!
just waiting on the go ahead from the man, he's on his way to Busch Gardens now, so who knows when he will have a chance to get through it.. regardless though, I'll have it

there may be hope for me yet then?

#1413296Post 51 of 99

Re: Sean Cusick

i just hope Steve's magic gets all 5 hours released... that would be most definitely ideal...

either way, new q6 is always welcome... just like Mr. Weatherall.

Re: Sean Cusick

my friends amy & dave (toes in the sand/headrushmusic) brought q6 to my hometown of Cleveland back in the day.

i got a chance to have a deep long convo with him and had him sign my vinyl of a track he produced called Neutrix. he spent a good 30 minutes pulling notes from his book to sign it with. special item i will treasure forever....

Amazing just how fresh these tracks sound today. Mightily well constructed - there's a remix of Beautiful Strange in there, maybe unreleased or some Q6 studio magic.

Re: Sean Cusick

That first mix from Sean way back in 2000 is decent. It's not 'Beautiful Strange' I believe - I'm sure that 2nd Hand Satellites and Bedrock borrowed the 'Beautiful Strange' vocal from another, older track?

I guess what he's saying is he may want to release some of it as his own pod cast on soundcloud and what not :)

his photo blog is very interesting, he is a funny s.o.b. too

he came up and I asked him when he wanted to go on, he looked at me, walked over to the decks and went to just eject my cd and said how about now, lmao

Yep I knew Sean and Three were 2HS. Orbit was such a tune back then. Makes me feel so old now though! Can't believe it was 10 years ago!

The vocal sample is definitely lifted from elsewhere, I remember Digweed mentioning it in an old interview somewhere
