If you haven't heard Kasey's 5 hour set from my Proton show from earlier this year - I strongly recommend you do. :) Drop me a line if you're having any difficulty finding it and I'll get something worked out for you. I have the 256kbps original. :)

I'm not aware of any unknown live sets for them, but Kasey's tour schedule is pretty intense.

Certainly a top addition to the already fantastic Proton lineup!

#298026Post 7 of 33

I have it too, if you need it. I have the one that Grant's talking about, and it's a masterpiece. It still gets listened to in full in my car's stereo

I'm "gtappers2" ...you'll find the 256kbit version of the set in my public shares under "\Nov 7th - Kasey Taylor"

Enjoy!

(Also while I'm on the topic of Proton and Aussies - make sure you check out Kriece's new show Gonzaemon who's doing an excellent job so far!)

#298267Post 11 of 33

Hey GranT, what are the chances of getting say, Jono Fernandez to bust out a set for you?

#298299Post 12 of 33

Jono and I have been talking about this for ages ...originally we were scheduled to do some stuff around August/September this year, but due to other commitments on my end and a hectic touring schedule on his side it never quite happened. He's definitely keen to do the show though.

Jono's just picked up a new monthly Sydney residency (he lives in Melbourne) which I could possibly do some recordings at. I haven't been down to that gig yet myself, but the venue's audio setup is a little questionable in my experience. If I can confirm those problems are sorted out then it should be no problem to grab something live.

Jono tends to play different styles of sets - and not all of them fit what I'm trying to do with .AUdio so I need to be a little picky with it. I'm good mates with a couple of his production partners though and they want to get things kicking along as well as a group show; so you may find something a bit different coming into play in early 2005. Along the same DJ/producer tip, I'm going to be having a mate of mine by the name of Jaytech do something for me as well. Top bloke and he's had a couple of his tracks signed recently. Christopher Lobsinger and his dad have also had a bit to do with his work as well, I believe.

If you'd like to hear someone of the stuff that one of Jono's production partners (Tones) are doing, check out this link for a recent mix: http://www.inthemix.com.au/fm/18251/

Kriece has been a permanent fixture on Perth?s party scene now for over 8 years. As a dj he has played alongside John Digweed, BT, Dave Seaman, H-foundation, Kevin Saunderson, Dave Clarke and Lee Burridge. He has played at all major Australian tours such as Ministry of Sound, Cream, Renaissance, Gatecrasher, Mixmag and DJ Mag. He also played at seminal Sydney night "Tweekin'" and Club Karma in Osaka, Japan.

As a producer he released on Yummy Recordings in 1999 and more recently on his own not-so-influential Liquid Tao Recordings. He also collaborates with acts such as Dave Basek (Junkbeats) and Phil Smart, who was in 2000 voted Australia's number one dj.

Current influences include Jeff Bennett, Kenneth Graham, Casey Hogan, Swag, Alexander Kowalski, Maurizio, SCSI 9 and labels such as Poker Flat, Triebstoff, Immigrant, Sub-static & Music for Freaks.

Re: <REQUEST> Kasey Taylor & Chris Meehan SETS

Hi everyone, We are glad that everyone is digging our stuff and our Proton shows and happy that there are like minded people out there! Check out the December show, Kasey and I play it pretty housey and the guest mix this month is provided by 'Mecurio' live from Pacha, which I can only describe as shattering. Not sure about any other live sets from anywhere although both our sets were recorded from Portugal in July this year and went live to air. If anyone can find that I'd love a copy too! Anyway, we're now mercury servers! So if you have any questions etc feel free to pm us or drop us a line at chris@vapourrecordings.com Until then be good! and if you can't be good, be good at it.
