Gotta love 'em, even if you didn't grow up in and around the 1960's.

What are some of your old time classics?

Re: Golden Oldies

50s 60s ... I wasn't around but any of these songs get my mojo flowing: Evan's Shuffle - Muddy Waters Johnny B Goode - Chuck Berry Papa was a rollin stone - The Temptations

Personally I like the beatles from the album Rubber Soul and all that come next, before that album they just made "nice" songs. IMO. Don't even get me started with the 70s because the list goes on and on :-)

The Rolling Stones 'Exile On Main Street' although it's 1972. From start to finish, genius. And to echo Dancing Queen, anything by The Beatles, but especially Revolver.8)

Agreed, nothing can even compare to the talent of music writers, musicians, and singers back then. I am not saying there aren't any good songs out these days, but nothing like back then.

forget the artists but here's a really short list...

Duke of Earl Your my Puppet Just my Imagination Hypnotized Whats your name Somebody please

And everything Brenton Wood every did!!!

but I do love them classics from the 50's! I have the big "Time" collection that came out years ago.. ranged from early 50's to late 70's. shit load of cd's..

Also have that cool greaser "Motorcycle Gang" compilation. Awesome!!

Re: Golden Oldies

Anything Motown would definitely qualify, not sure Pink Floyd are golden oldies, James Brown, Temptations, Four Tops, The Supremes, and Aretha Franklin without a doubt.
