you may be able to teach the technical aspects of dj'ing but no one will be able to teach you to have your own style, but yourself!!!

it's not about having your own style. these books are more about the business side of being a dj. How to get in good with promoters, how to find a good agent to help you in getting gigs. Etc.
And BTW, just bought it, and the audio download. Will be listening while reading. And if it's not what I hoped it would be...there is a 60 day money back guarantee to it.

Yeah I like it when I can be reading and listening at the same time. Helps me to retain information. I'm not going to get much out of the beginning, but it's the mid to ending sections I'm really interested in perusing through.
We can always learn more.

Yeah that's the first step after you have learned how to dj. You should learn how a track is put together and how it can and will be used in a set. Which is why it helps soo much more to be a dj before being a producer/composer.
Been listening to the audio track. And it definitely could use some editing. I'm trying to listen to it and the guy will stop and repeat himself or mispronounce words and it's getting to me. You could easily fix that in the editing process and yet it wasn't.
