#198939Post 4 of 47

Wouldn't this be apples and oranges though to Involver....

:?:

#198942Post 5 of 47

im really looking forward to this album. anything by zabiela is top notch imo. not to say involver was shit, i really enjoy that album. better than ADD imo.

#198963Post 6 of 47

tracklisting looks tight. 8)

IMO very diffrent from Involver.

#198968Post 7 of 47

I doubtful aobut this cd. I think I might d/l it first and listen to it before I go out and buy it. That is if it is any good.

#198988Post 8 of 47

the last couple times i've seen JZ he has tricked up his sets to a point where i can;t catch a groove. i call it stunt djing. we'll see if this cd is the same.

#199069Post 9 of 47

can't wait for this either.

#199108Post 10 of 47
the last couple times i've seen JZ he has tricked up his sets to a point where i can;t catch a groove. i call it stunt djing. we'll see if this cd is the same.
Exactly. I don't like any of his sets BUNK IMO

#199159Post 11 of 47

Your question
James Zabiela - ALiVE will blow up Involver???
My answer: YES.

JZ made this cd based on live sets, playing the way he usually does. I expect a 5/5 cd :P

#199180Post 12 of 47

cool thanx for the heads up

#199195Post 13 of 47

Shit can't use the "Use the Search button" post.

#199206Post 14 of 47

What is a date for his album?

Yeah, same for me last time. First couple of times I saw him, he was great. Just the right amount of tricks to make it that much more interesting. Last time, he had a few periods of three or four minutes with no beats and just crazy noises. Too much of that can get to you.

Let's hope he tones it down more moving forward.

Will "Alive" blow up "Involver" ???? For me - Yes , because I don?t like "Involver"

#199257Post 17 of 47

Sasha :Die:

JZ :RightOn:

at least he's doing something different...can't say the same for that other guy...um...sarshy.

Wow, man i think this is gonna blow up Sasha's Involver i dunno , whatcha think???

hmmm, I'd have to say we are comparing two totally different concepts here. Involver, correct me if I am wrong, is a mix cd of tracks reworked by Sasha, wereas this JZ cd is a mix cd with some tracks reedited/remixed by JZ. Also the ADD comparison is a bit off base too IMO, that being an artist album and Involver being a mix cd. I think ADD hasnt even peaked yet, as far as the remixes that will come from it, ie: Luke Chables Cloud Cuckoo remix. IMO

#199355Post 19 of 47

it's gonna be a good cd, but I don't think it can be compared with involver, different things, not conflict at all

#199379Post 20 of 47

I'll be buying both, so I'll be determining for myself.

#199512Post 21 of 47

I think JZ has all the way long to become in a near future, our "sasha" but talking in other kind of peculiarities : scratching, and other abilities Sasha didint mark too much...

#199527Post 22 of 47

checking the web chat Sasha just did, JZ is one of his inspirations lately. Now who wouldnt to have that said about them. Thats pretty impressive!

#199557Post 23 of 47

#199639Post 34 of 47

i guess i am one of the few, but i dont really get zabiela. i dont see why everybody is getting so excited. even though so many people love him, i still cant get into his style... maybe this new album will change that... kinda dissapointed with sasha lately too. i think i will stick with digweed for now.

#199670Post 35 of 47

July 19th as the release date? Is that the UK? I've heard August.

#199753Post 36 of 47

Zabelia is very good - but I find a few of the tracks he plays lack something? A few seem a bit too basic and tend to drone on. I love it when he goes at it with the effects and sctatching though.

#199763Post 37 of 47

every new set he does is better than the other, i hope he returns to Per? someday, that night the music was so amazing that could be one of my best party.

#199766Post 38 of 47

Wow this cd will be amazing!!!!!

can't wait

#199836Post 39 of 47

I dont think Zab owns anything, his sets has become a bore to me since long ago when all he pretty much would do was to put up one record after another (no programming worth mentioning anyways) and just do that silly CDJ-scratching.

But I guess he is better live.

19.07.2004 is the UK release date. August 2004 is the USA release date.
