Just logged into [ms] for the first time after nearly 3 weeks sitting on my ass on a blazing hot beach in Goa (fucking great, thanks for asking), and it seems that people have decided to welcome the new year by getting on each other's cases. I come to [ms] for music, interesting shit, and for people debating interesting shit and music in an informed and (occasionaly) mature fashion, not for people bitching and bickering pointlessly...I get enough of that at work ffs. :)

I for one see the new year as an excuse to be excessively positive, if only for January until the harsh reality that all those good intentions evaporate pretty quickly. But if you don't even start with good intentions and a relatively positive outlook, it's gonna be a long hard year.

Can't we all just get along? :(

Yes, it's been an interesting and dismal start to the New Year here on MS. I've been trying to ignore the negativity, but it's increasingly harder to do. I really wish the 2 pot stirrers would give it a rest. I can honestly say that having to deal with shosh and beanz on this board is making it less appealing to come here. I wasn't trying to place blame...conflict and differences of opinion produce some great debates on this board. It was more the bitching and bickering of the "No you shut up!" " No, YOU shut up" kind I noticed creeping in more.

It's just boring that potentially intersting threads get hijacked by personal and irrelevant slagging matches. And for the record, I have no desire to get rid of anyone - that's not the point of this thread. Just thought it would be good to kick the new year off with a group handjob rather than being at war with one another. Leave that to the rest of the world :)
