What's going down in Chicago, anyone heard? Godskitchen has listed their east coast and west coast events, but how about us poor fools in the middle?

New Years Eve
There no difference between going out on nye or any other night. Over rated and over priced imo. Fuck that shit, i`m going to a house party i go to to every year. Beers cheap as chips and i can stay as long as i like.
I totally agree. Every single NYE club night I've ever been to has been over-priced, and over-rated. There's nothing better than a really good NYE house party, where you can fuck right off the NY day blues, by keeping partying until at least Jan 02. Name a club where you can do that....
I'll be in Amsterdam this year, but the line-ups look crap everywhere.. if any Dutch dudes know where it's really gonna be happening, I'd love to know....
New years eve is terribly overrated. I'd rather go and get pissed and do hideously a large amount of cocaine with mates in some random bar rather than go to some club and play inflated door/drinks prices.
Re: New Years Eve

I'll be seeing Sasha, Andy Page, JXL, Charlie May, Plump DJS and LES doing a tag team set for 24 hours in this really high class strip club with the most beautiful, exotic girls in the world. The rum flows like niagra there and the beer is pretty heavy too. I assume I'll be fucked up, getting mondoporno blowjobs from like 3 fit italian models listening to the new production project that sasha's doing with andy page...while having liqour poured into my gulping mouth by angelina jolie and scarlet johannsen (they're naked...fingerbanging eachother). It's gonna be a great show.
Fuck, any tickets for this. I'll blow out Renaissance of this :)
Look forward to the review of the night
I was there last year... it sucked

but its digweed... on new years... surely it would be worth braving the cold if you are in LA?
Cold??????????
What cold?
It's L.A. it doesn't get cold.
except that one time when it snowed in compton. 8)
Re: New Years Eve
What's happening in NYC? I'm planning to drive up there for NYE
I will be visiting my bro in LA, and booked a room in Vegas for NYE. Seeing that Diggz was on in LA initially made me reconsider the Vegas thing, but the thought of having to deal with the Oakie crowd killed it for me (hate crowded shitbahns, unless it's Space Ibiza or of similar ilk) So, Vegas it is (I'm not sure yet what's happenin' there house wise, but N Years Eve in Vegas is a can't-miss, methinks
IMO, Digger is at his best when he spins in a smaller venue, like Cielo in NYC not long ago.

I think Diggers is only getting 6 hours on his own stage, but does anyone know what Avalon is doing? Apparently they are selling VIP tickets for NYE right now but are waiting to say who's playing...?
Pardon my ignorance, but this is who is playing and I haven't the foggiest clue who the hell they are nor how they commanded an NYE performance.
Avalon NYE Talant - VNV NATION performing a full live set /// CODER23 (featuring members of Front 242) exclusive DJ Set :? EDIT: Ok here's an addendum. Not content with being unknowning of who VNV Nation is, I did some digging on SLSK and found this group to be one of the shittiest bunch of turds in the realm of electonic music. It's a very strange blend of BAD trance (oxymoron perhaps?) and a little something I like to call "Rock Talking". If you're unaware it's the phenomenon in which rock stars choose loud talking as opposed to actual melodic singing. Very bad combo IMO. I am guessing no one (including me) from this board will celebrate NYE @ Avalon Hollywood. Blech!
VNV Nation certainly used to be an industrial act... not listened to them for ages so not sure what they're like now, but it does seem a surprising choice for Avalon :?
