What's up MS, me and the lady are heading on vacation to Argentina for 2 weeks this Thursday and looking for advice from anyone that's been or lives there. We'll be in Buenos Aires this weekend and probably a few other days, with trips to Mendoza and Iguazu Falls mixed in between. Looking for any advice on partying, clubs, bars, and anything else where we may be able to hear some good house and techno music. Any recommendations on places to check out or where to eat would also be greatly appreciated.

Go to CROBAR avoid Pacha unless you dont mind high prices (you have dollars anyway hahah) a very VERY overcrowded nightclub with no AC, and very drugged out people. it will probably be closed anyway...

if you wanna go to the beach, check out Pinamar, Mar del Plata and Carilo (the last one specially for a couple of love nights hahahah)

Bars there's a shit load of them to be honest

clubland (pacha) - imo the best club in buenos aires, but very crowded (btw: excelent music and djing). Closed in January.

Cocoliche (dance pub): for a twisted out night, some minimal-tech-house music, nice place, nice/strange people.

Crobar: it´s nice, I don´t personally like it very much. Main stream music most of the nights. But great djs play often there.

Anyone here with some dollars to spend is like Jesus, you can get what you want... enjoy it!!

as pudrus pointed out, buenosaliens.com is one of the best places to check before going to party.

i might suggest to go to Crobar but also visit Pacha... we that live here, don't like it because is not as good as before.. but still, hell of a club! everyone who visits the city and goes there love it.

Thanks for the recommendations. Got down here this morning and it´s already been a blast. Will prob. hit the city hard tomorrow night so if anyone knows of any good show worth going to let me know! 8)

beware of receiving counterfeit bills as change from cabs. happened to me like five times while there/ I liked mint and nicieto club while there too.

No doubt when I was in Mar Del Plata a couple of years ago saw Howells and Martin Garcia back to back nights, make sure you find out where Facu and Martin are playing. Arielus, so the go to man for all that stuff plus can hook you up with the local scene as well. Have fun perfect time of year to get down there.
