November 6, 2004 -- A week after health-care worker Lydia Moore won a whopping $5 million New York State Lottery payout, she was arrested on charges of looting an elderly patient?s life savings more than a year ago. Moore, 54, allegedly stole $113,000 to finance gambling-casino junkets before she hit the jackpot, police said yesterday.

"she will continue to collect her winnings while in the clink"

Anyone else think it should all go to the victims family, since she most likely purchased the lottery ticket with the money she stole.

I read somewhere about someone from prison that got to go play in the city for a little bit for good behavior or some shit, and he won a huge lottery prize. He was put back in prison immediately before he could skip out of the country or something with his prize money... did anybody else see this? It may have been posted here, but I don't remember.

I would seriously hope she doesn't consider herself robin hood and I had always thought that karma would keep something like this from happening.

What has this world come to?
