Eeeek...we're getting a winter storm coming our way. It has started already with light flurries but we're expecting up to 50cm of snow between today and Wed. 20cm of that will be today!! It will def be a white Christmas!

I don't know what that is in inches but around here we are going to get anywhere from 10-12+ inches. CRAZINESS!
I am leaving work after our holiday luncheon / gift swap to hightail it home for some beef stew, wine and my DVR.

we get the dullest weather here on the west coast, but i've never seen it rain so hard and nonstop like it did monday thru wedsnesday this week. holy shit, just take a look at vegas. the way these winter storm systems develop along the jet stream is just nasty, no doubt, so stay cautions and prepared all.

Its coming down here like crazy right now and the roads are crazy slippery....coming home for lunch took an extra 10min. I am not looking forward to the drive home tonight at 5pm.

High of -25 Celsius today here... ya thats minus 25... awful, if your outside for longer than 10 minutes without proper gear your frozen... no way to live...

It's horrible out there....be safe people! I got stuck getting in the driveway and the housemates had to push me out...took 3 men and I still ended up nose deep in a snow drift!
Snow drifts up the side of the house made it impossible to get in my level of the house (up over my knee already!) so I had to use their door....luckily I hadn't locked my door leading from the laundry room or I would of been locked out

It didn't seem like there were alot of cars in the city today..seems people were smart and stayed home or took transit. It is beautiful out there!

yes, yesterday was pretty crazy up here in Canada. One of my out friends thats lives just north of the city of Toronto observed that the storm hit such a wide area in Southern Ontario at the same time, which rarely happens. The storm usually passes over the province in one direction...but not yesterday, - it was intense!!

Annnnd here we go again.
Already a ton of snow out there. Went with my friend in his 4x4 to go pick up my car from last night....ya, not gonna happen. They haven't plowed the lot at work and the snow is already a few feet deep in places....so snowed in again, weee!
Me and another girl from work were suppose to go today to get food and toys for the 3 underprivileged families we sponsored (3 single mother families with small children - giving them a Christmas basket so they can have a Christmas they wouldn't be able to have otherwise) at work and that's not gonna happen now. We were suppose to get the food/toys delivered to them tomorrow and we waited until today so we could get them the freshest stuff possible...so much for that idea

Snowed all day yesterday here, got a foot+ of snow in 1 day and its picking up again... heavy heavy snow.
i am still amazed that the power is still on, haha.

this is without a doubt, the worst snowy winter we have had in years... at least my whole life its never been this bad!

Gee, I've never been in snow before. It's 24 celcius here, sunny and cool. Great weather actually. Very unlike this time of the year, 30+ to 42 is more the norm. Hopefully Xmas and NYE with Underworld on Bondi Beach will be sweet. ;)

Today we had -14 degrees Celsius (6.8 Fahrenheit) here in Frankfurt..so fucking cold brrr and I also never heard such sounds from my car when I started it. Sounded like me in the morning when I must cough lol. In the east of Germany they had minus 29 degrees (-20.2F). :shock: I guess that's the punishment because the last winters were really mild here.
