Is this for real? i heard that they were recording in clubspace on Saturday Octob er 30 when Danny spinned along with Josh Wink that night. Their were posters of GU all around the club according to what i they say.

he's a globalunderground artist. Two comps already. it wouldn't be odd for them to have GU posters all over the place.

it would have been announced, hyped, etc, if it was really the next GU or something.

that series has gone way down hill imo.

I said I was [i]thinking[/i] about it. TBH I was just too bummed out after seeing him the last time that I decided I didn't want to waste my money. I was in Jax to do some other things and if it worked out to where I could go I probably would have but decided in the end to forego "Howell-o-ween".

A Danny Howells live Gu mix would be awesome.. Danny Howells is one of the best ds out there. I will admit some of this mixes this yr have not been that great but there are other ones that have blinding. So it can be hit or miss but when he is on. He is definetly one of the best djs out there.

I mean, if there is anyone in this forum that did went to HOWELLWINK night on the 30th of october and did see GU POSTERS, please stand up! I didnt go due to the fact that i recently partied with Danny @ Puerto Rico and had a blast. But they do say that it was true. A GU in Miami especially with Danny Howells is awesome. :shock:

I'm not sure if I would buy a Howells CD,GU or not.I was really disappointed with 24:7,yet I loved NF3 and his Renaissance CD.The live sets I've heard of his havent done much for me either

Danny Howells at Cub Space...... at the Terrace at 9 am in the Morning with the MIami Sun coming out..... formula for best GU in a while....

THe times that I have seem in the Terrace the man have been amazing.... the best way to describe, his sets are totally eclcectic ( I have heard Bob Marley, Blur, the maimi vice song) like the 24/7 .... with a touch of dark tribal progressive..... like his Rennaisance with Nick W. During the summer he opened the afterparty set with the first song of the Rennasance cd... Always (Ashley Beedle's Mahavishnu Vocal Mix) - Bent ..... Believe me, an amazing melody conducted by a piano at 9am, after hearing josh wink for 3 hours in a dark room... nothing comes close to this....

I agree, since Nick Warren Reykivik the series has been going downhill... but have patience, GU have brought us moments like Brazil, San Francisco, New York, Ibiza, and LA.... This kind of promoters are the ones that keep music going forward,.... Is kind of an Irony, GU have done such a good job, that our expectations are always high.....

i haven't seen or heard DH in a while so i can't comment. buuurrrrrrrrrrrp ugh oof. whats his sound these days? the last time i seen him live was at Arc in NYC. he was ehhh...he stumbled upon to me out in the hallway as i was leavin while i wating for a friend. he was fucking waaaaaacked out of his mind. it was funny. i was like well you played aight tonight man, good seeing you again. he was like ok thanks. and stumbled away. lol

i also loved his 24:7 cd , i still listen to cd 1 all the time, i think if he did a GU it would be great, but there are so MANY dj's that deserve a shot at doing one of those cd's, it's hard to say,i just hope they dont pick one of the Usual Suspects that has already done one 2-4 times

g'damn, i can't type...gu cd1 is definitely a fantastic cd. cd2 is decent. if this rumor really is true, hopefully it'll be easier to get than getting into his BED parties in sobe. that whole debacle is nonsense.

You shoulda made it dude...off the frickin' chizzain. I've seen him 2-3 times and that was by far the best. I can't even give a name to the kind of tunes he spun...housy dub, maybe. Either way...it was tight.

As for GU...yeah, their last 4-5 albums have been pretty weak. They need to expand their talent pool, the same 5 guys got played about 3 years ago. I think Danny would do it good, he's payed his dues.

Danny is also one of the few who has not flirted with other labels, like Cattaneo, Sander, Zabiela, James Holden and Pappa

but i dont think danny would be right for the main GU series.

for me the nu breed and 24/7 series is were its at now.

i wanna see more of the names coming up, like desyn, rowan baldes, cusick, fair, demi, etc.

danny has done more than his fair share for gu, and it would be great for him to be 'promoted' to the main GU series. but only if things were to change and we return to the quality of djs of old. i mean the early cds are classics. danny can deliever, its just if GU can maintain the quality. which unfortunatley is questionable. nu breed disappeared and 24/7 seems to have been a bit of a still birth.

the time for change was last year.
