Incidentley, i bought a 5 bedroom house 2 years ago to rent out to students, im now in the process of selling it. With the house prices over here rocketing in the last few years my investment of ?54,000 is going to sell for ?152,500. Thats just in 2 years ffs! Not that im complaining at all 8)

^^^ WOW thats pretty good for 80K. Like MJ said don't wait. I said I wasn't making enough to myself when I was 23. Waited till this year to buy a house only to find the houses that I could have bought for 200 were now up to 300 and my pay went up relative to that amount as well so waiting essentially cost me 100k.

well, my company employs 300,000... so I might be able to find an extra position. Maybe a Admin Assistant's Assistant's Assistant.

I did some searching, and all the houses in the area that I want to live in are ~$150k! The 80k houses are either in the ghetto (but still near where I want to live) or 15+ miles away from the location I want to be :? I contacted a realtor and am going to look into getting a condo instead... I just don't want to keep throwing away my money into rent. As long as I own something I'll be happy because I'll be able to use the money for a house later on.
