i'm making my first trip to chicago next week for thanksgiving to visit a few good friends who left new york recently & i'm looking to get shitfaced preferebly at spybar or vision...

those are the only 2 places i can think of to go to..

any party suggestions from 11/26-11-28 are appreciated

thanks everyone! i just got off the phone with the chicago crew & the itinerary is as follows:

11/26 - 1st stop derrick carter smartbar then 2nd stop mark knight at spybar

11/27 - stuff my face with turkey

11/28 - 1st stop james talk at spybar then 2nd stop dubfire at soundbar

i'd love to hit that party at the end on sunday but i'm leaving chicago saturday night...sunday flight prices back to new york are ridiculous!

by the way...what's with all the chicago venues ending in 'bar'??

Dan Bell is play at a place called sonotech (spelling) on Friday and mark Houle is playing at Smartbar Friday night as well Dubfire will be at Soundbar friday night

looks like friday will be a good night to go out

Good luck with Soundbar. Being that it is a night after a holiday, that place will be rammed with the majority of the people not knowing or caring that Dubfire is playing. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

i'm back from chicago & i had an amazing weekend! i was shitfaced most of the time so i didn't get to do much site seeing..went to spybar twice for mark knight & james talk...mark was good but nothing special...james talk on the other hand killed it! awesome night...

i have to say, the crowd that parties in chicago reminds me very much of los angeles...very pushy & rude...especially the girls! I hate hate hate people who don't have dance floor etiquitte...not sure how it's in the other clubs but that's the gist i got from spybar..it's funny how people have this misconception that new yorkers are the rude ones when it's the complete opposite...new york is aggressive but you will meet some of the coolest & friendliest people out here...every time i leave new york to visit another city it makes me realize how much i love it here..i will NEVER leave

chicago is a dope city & i'll definitely be back to visit ;)

^^ Happy to hear you had a good time for the most part, NYC has a different energy all together, imo there isn't another city in the country with the same vibe.

*** btw spent the last 2 days in San Juan, temps in the mid 80's, waves have been overhead + the whole time, back to Isabella for the night, some sunrise surfing in the am, then back home to the real world tommorow afternoon.
