2000...the first four months of Digweed's show

I recently started listening to the earliest episodes of John Digweed's long running radio show. These shows from 2000 are raw and classic. You can hear the pops and crackles of the vinyl records. You can hear the verious djs manually correcting the records in the mix. It REALLY takes you back. One other thing I had forgotten was that Diggers used to have recorded call-ins from the various guest djs he would bring in. Guys like dj Remy, Steve Lawler and Ali from Deep Dish call in and talk about what they are up to or what they are playing...I HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN. Anyway just had to throw this out there...to a time where the music was...god I hate to say it...more special, more rare and more organic...9 years of Digger! My how far we have come...

Long live [ms]!!!

I liked to hear the pops and crackles of the vinyl records. There's a great one on Oakenfold's NY GU, and on Dove Beat on Sasha & Digweed's JJJ. It sort of sounds like its supposed to be there.

I know what you mean - Oakey purposely left all imperfections in (cue joke). Also love the record sleeve shots and thank you's on his Cream Residency CD "No thanks to BA who managed to lose my records 5 times in 2 years"

"Paul receives up to 120 white labels a week, he listens to them all, but will only include 1-5 of the in his final set"

Maybe Ableton will include the option to add scratches on their next live release, and the option to lose files when travelling !
