Re: Barack Obama....
I love the name of colbert's presidential campaign coverage: " don't fuck this up America"... classic.
Part of me is glad that it is democrat in office rather than a republican. But after watching "zeitgeist" aren't they all the same because both parties are funded by the same corporations?
Re: Barack Obama....
well I for one am fucking ecstatic.
Re: Barack Obama....
i'm glad that its all over and we can go back to ignoring america!!!
Re: Barack Obama....

Re: Barack Obama....
If it goes well for Obama, I think I will open the floodgates further for David Cameron over here.
If not, I think Labour (hopefully not Gordon Brown) will stay in

Unless you've noticed who's the leader of the most powerful country in the world has also a huge effect on the rest of the world.
Bush's clusterfuck in Iraq sure helped make Europe a less safe place.

amazing & finally we have change the future. Oh yes we have 76 days till shit bag is out of office.
Today is the best day of my life.
Cheers hafid
Re: Barack Obama....
The proof is in the action & results, not in the words and rhetoric.
I find politicians difficult to trust and feel there's a complete lack of competency and vision regardless of who's in power.
Hopefully there will be a change of emphasis in the world .. but frankly there's enough nutters and fanatics out there to cause problems, chaos, misery and dispair regardless of who's in power - post 9/11 the world will never be the same again.
Bush and Blairs legacy have been a costly and ill advised war and an economy in meltdown (and poverty in their own backyards) - plus the world is now a less happy and unsafer place, with a whole new level of distrust between Countries ... thanks guys !
So thank fuck for the things that give us pleasure and joy in life (from loved ones to music) - we certainly can't rely on the politicians to deliver.
Good luck to Obama, and Cameron if he gets in ... lets all hope they can both make a difference and leave a far better legacy than the last crew.
