i ran out of coffee yesterday and have not been to the store to grab more beans, so instead for the last two days i've been drinking hot tea. it's not just crappy lipton tea, we actually have some good stuff for the european djs we bring in that enjoy that sort of shit. just now finishing a cup, and i gotta say, having had tea now for two days in a row....wtf??? coffee kicks the living shit out of this stuff all day long, and on sundays.

Re: coffee > tea

haha, yeah man! i prefer to walk 200m to the shop, first thing when i wake up, if no coffee is left in my cupboard, rather than drinking tea!! personally i think tea is just too light, too watery for my taste, if you know what i mean!

coffee > tea

Re: coffee > tea

I've been drinking tea for about 10 years now. I have a coffee about once a month. I developed heart palpitations and coffee just gets them going. I actually prefer tea now.

Re: coffee > tea

I'm trying to ditch coffee and going with tea. More antioxidants and doesn't stain your teeth! ;)

That being said I have to drink an ass ton of tea just to get my fix of caffeine...
thats interesting...doesnt tea have more caffeine than coffee? Tea doesnt give them to you as well?
most tea has about 1/3 of the caffeine that coffee has. i never developed a liking for coffee, so i drink tea as well. never heard of PG, Bobjuice... i usually order from Stash Tea or Teavana.

Re: coffee > tea

In all seriousness, coffee is essential to life. I do 1 max 2 cups a day. Usually black, with maybe half a pack of sugar...none of that caramel and whipped cream and sugary bullshit. None of that weak-ass instant or fast food crap, either - real French press stuff, or better yet homemade espresso. Starbucks is so so but keeps me going (Pike's Place roast is better than the old stuff, though). Peet's rocks, but they're unfortunately not in this part of the world.

Re: coffee > tea

i like coffee, but a tasty refreshing is unbeatable.

caffeine's molecular structure, is cocaine's cousin. imagine if cocaine was just as legally accessible.

Re: coffee > tea

a nice cappuccino beats all kinds of brews! and the key is the milkfoam! the sugar you put in your coffee should not be able to sink from the thick milkfoam!!!

Re: coffee > tea

i enjoy both. coffee if i really need to get going, and green tea more on a daily basis. Both substances are chock full of antioxidants and both have been proven to lower risk degenerative diseases later in life such as alzheimers. Caffeine improves memory function in the short term as well.

Re: coffee > tea

Black assamese tea with golden tips in it.

Good coffee in the morning though, to get me going. I like getting a cappuccino with espresso extra added to it. More like a Chernoccino really...

Re: coffee > tea

I love the macchiato's in Italy:

Caffè Macchiato - In Italian, macchiare means to “stain” - and this espresso in a demitasse cup is stained with some hot milk, probably frothed, though no attention is placed on serving foam. This is not a mini-cappuccino.

The coffee in Turin, Rome and Naples are especially good - its funny how it differs a little in these places, but each is uniquely lovely.

Damn .. I need to get bck over there !
